I’ve never seen such slow reaction times and lack of agility in a keeper.

The boy must wear Velcro boots, as he can’t get down to anything.

Very worried about how many we will concede on NYD.

Heard a whisper he will be recalled after the game. Foster just has some heavy bruising so I wonder if they will patch him up for Sunday or whether it may come a bit too soon?

It amazes me how much stick Watson got from most on here, yet very little is said about Dewhurst. Watson was 10 times the keeper he is.

I still maintain and also after seeing the video that Foster would have least got a hand on Chesterfields first goal and it was right in the corner, maybe a hand may have been enough to deflect it but anyhow the point is Dewhurst is slow to get down and he gets beaten from distance far too easily

Teams in our League need two experienced GKs.
It will have been expense of wages alone that saw Rory sent packing. In his last season, with all backs to the wall, he showed the maturity that we’d all been waiting for.
He did end up a decent keeper. The signs had always been there, of course.
Keepers generally mature more slowly than outfield players.

They also tend to go on longer.

Signing a 35 year old keeper should not have fans moaning about has-beens topping up their pension pot.

The young keepers might not question the coaching abilities, where as an experienced one might ruffle a few feathers

Keepers are usually the least athletic people in the squad.
I’d want mine hitting the average score in running tests.
Work their cardio and their endurance.
I’d specifically work on improving their reaction times, agility and flexibility.
Brain training – often, they have very little to do in a game. Concentration levels and decision making are paramount.

Unlikely the coaching staff would recommend anyone who could become a threat to their own position, musselwhite now tactical folder holder in the dugout, will soon be wanting to return to his safe haven

England’s No 1 wouldn’t score too highly in an IQ test!

Slocombe used to get absolutely hammered on here. Watson was shite but was better than Dewhurst and Slocombe was miles better than Watson. Dewhurst is awful. A teenage Foster even looks way more promising than Dewhurst.
