Must say being shocked at the starting line up is an understatement..

    As previous mentioned ..
    Foster ?
    Mcdonagh ?
    Sheilds ?

Whose playing the front line with Elliot ?

Does the attendance look good ??

    1-1 now

Could this game be the turning point?

It does seem as if we have some fight in us…… at last.

Butterfield given a free role today and ran the show, what a player at this level and a thoroughly deserved win from a very entertaining game.

Don’t get bored of saying it: Butterfield is just head and shoulders above everyone else on the field

Some really good individual performances today; turned into a scrappy affair in the second half but when we got it down and played we looked like a ‘proper’ team.

Still think it’s a huge ask but we’ve given ourselves a chance

I trust we will have some info on what seems like a somewhat bizzare team selection.
(can a winning team selection be queried?)
I’d worry if some of those omissions were for anything other than injury.
    Comments:-
Butterfield – superb, best game for ages
Ogle – been excellent for weeks
Elliott – like Lavery, is not a lone striker.
BRE – tremendous debut, my worry is that I remember how good Taft was at the begining.
    Bunker – I like him.
Overall – what a relief and very well deserved, more please Jimmy.

New lads all buzzing and we’ll up for it, goalie even milking the crowd during warm up then when they came on and at the end, looks like we have players who want to play for us instead of just taking the money, long may it continue.

I think today we competed as a National League team and didn’t get outplayed, even if we go down by having a real go over the remaining games at least it gives you optimism for the NLN if the worst thing happens, hopefully the players keep the winning feeling.

Surprised with the team when It was announced. I thought Dean had lost his marbles but for the most part it worked really well. I suspect Beestin hadn’t been doing as much work as he should have been doing in training in the past because after Dean had them all doing fitness work for a week and worked them harder in training, Beestin seems to be back to the Beestin that would actually get around the pitch.

Young Bunker though, what a player. 19yr old and played calm and composed like a veteran…he was solid as a rock. Richards Everton, I feared was going to be a dud as there were 2 sets of fans saying he was shite but he was superb. Butterfield was the usual Butterfield and was outstanding.

Young Leake looked a lot better at LB and Chapman made a huge difference so a lot to be optimistic about. I’d like to know what happened to big Gerry Mcdonagh. I looked forward to seeing how he fared after his goal last week.

Elliot was ok in patches but as somebody else said above, not sure he’s suited to the lone front man role.

Heard outside ( only speculation ) that McDonagh got a knock in training, also heard more interestingly, that Fewster has gone back. Don’t quote me but it’s strange he’s played a part game as sub against Barnet then doesn’t even get in the squad. Have to say I hope he’s not injured aswell.

Fewster was supposed to have been a really good young player. Forest fans said he resembled Ryan Yates when he was that age.
