“The Emirates FA Cup third qualifying round tie between Wythenshawe Town and Farsley Celtic will be available to watch live on the BBC.”
Why not a localish game featuring the best team in the competition at this stage?
Does either club have some connection to a “celebrity”?
Often influences matches chosen for cover.
BBC didn’t fancy straying too far from their Manchester offices.
To be honest they don’t normally show biggish teams till the 4th round, the history of what games have been shown is on fanbanter same subject bottom of the page.
The early kickoff for only £2000 TV money should leave most fans happy that they haven’t chose us.
At least it gives a little bit of money to the two teams involved and you see some interesting games.
Plus a young player may get spotted so I think it is good.

It’s likely we’ll sell out our allocation which surely means that “most fans” won’t be able to watch the game. How will that make them happy?
Because fans who travel won’t have to get up at silly o’clock to get there, meaning more than wetherspoons pubs will be available to drink in.
If we do sell out and it is a big allocation of 1200 will because fans will be on the lash and lets face it only 1300 turned up the other night so its hardly likely, though I do know many are going on the train like to farsley so you never know.

An hour and a half to Guiseley by car/coach, shouldn’t be a problem getting up surely.
If your just going to the game then yes you win hands down Cass.
Quite a number who’ll be there today set off yesterday if you get my drift.
And we’re just about to set off now for today’s game.
Have a good trip, have a great day and bring back the points. Cheers (but not too many)
