I’ve just been sent a link to his latest video.
As a Scunthorpe United supporter, I am for the first time embarrassed to be one after watching it.
Is the club condoning this utterly embarrassing begging?
Please tell me they aren’t!1 user thanked author for this post.

January 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm #279792Shouldn’t it be other way round us helping the people of Liverpool ffs. Maybe the trust could donate to a Liverpool food bank next time.
January 24, 2024 at 5:15 pm #279793I believe gifts over a certain are taxed ,it’s unearned income.I could be wrong but Stew himself could be taxed ,he’s not a registered charity and earning £20k basically
I reckon that would only be the case if it goes into his bank account, whereas if it’s through the Just Giving platform (or similar) and it goes directly to the nominated recipient, then I doubt it would be an issue.
And besides, people do this a lot for raising money for medical bills etc. and I’ve not heard of taxation on that before.

I might watch this, sounds hilariously bad
January 25, 2024 at 12:58 pm #279833Don’t knock a guy that is trying to help his club, it’s unnecessary.
BTW have you handed over that £1000 you set aside to help buy the ground?I’m not going to knock him for his endeavours but I don’t think him and others turning on anyone who is slightly critical of him for overkill on the Facebook group is really on, do you? Just reminds me of the Hilton era when those critical were jumped on by the majority. Do some people never learn?
January 25, 2024 at 1:36 pm #279837Joe public was never asked to contribute to buying the ground had they my £1000 would have been given along with many others CT. Many of us contributed to paying of the staff and that was right and proper to do, but Stuart is doing overkill and the fact that it’s annoying people now is saying something, just stop the overkill, the comparisons, the glorification of Liverpool fans when it’s quite obvious that fans of many clubs donate, well at least he’s having a day off today that’s something.

January 25, 2024 at 4:48 pm #279854Old joke was Steven Gerrard is fouled in the box and Grimsby suffers a minor earthquake as all the armchair reds there leap up in disgust.

January 25, 2024 at 4:53 pm #279855Has there ever been a town survey of clubs other than Scunny that the population supports? Wonder what the percentage is of people supporting top plight or ex top flight teams? Pretty sure Man U, Liverpool and Leeds would take up the majority, maybe evenly split?
January 25, 2024 at 6:58 pm #279861I would say Liverpool by a country mile then Man u, their success in the 70s/80s most young uns went for them for the success they had, now the bastards have bred and we have even more. others like me went for teams that played football west ham, chelsea and the like.

You can always tell a sad other town wannabe Manc, I usually tell them they’re c**t. :-)
January 26, 2024 at 10:59 am #279881Stu will be in tears this morning at the news Klopp is going
January 26, 2024 at 11:21 am #279884Maybe he could set a petition page up urging him to stay I mean he’s only just got less than half a season to go before he leaves, not like anyone from Liverpool to seek attention must be a first.
January 26, 2024 at 11:29 am #279885Jerry wants everyone to give Stu a pound for a negative comment, you can tell he’s not a real supporter and sits in the exec seats in his blazer.
First half in the Donny road would clear the debt if everyone paid up.January 26, 2024 at 12:23 pm #279887Klopp’s leaving?? Ffs, I expect a video akin to Lady Di dying. ‘Goodbye the reds rose…’

January 26, 2024 at 2:07 pm #279890He’s on his bike apparently – peloton must pay well.
January 26, 2024 at 3:37 pm #279891Don’t blame Klopp one bit, but different to Woy who will be boxed up and in the oven whilst still trying to take training. Bloody stupid game football management, all the good managers should make their money early and go and enjoy the rest of their lives whilst they still can. Herr Klopp I salute you.

January 26, 2024 at 10:50 pm #279905The length of coverage of his impending exit at the top of sports programmes is tedious but very predictable. Turned the radio off numerous times today because I’m really not arsed. That said I’m slightly envious hearing him saying he can’t summon up the enthusiasm to carry on in the same role doing it again and again and again and again, over and over, ad infinitum. If only my pension pot was big enough…
January 27, 2024 at 9:35 am #279925The coverage of Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure was very similar TBF DM and he announced it twice remember.Yes it’s tedious but predictable because of the pulling power of that godamm awful cash cow the majority worship in this country. More NLN and less Premiership I say but then I’m biased.
January 27, 2024 at 9:40 am #279928‘The coverage of Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure was very similar TBF’. I know. Don’t remind me. It’s like they’ve died ffs. Just an opportunity for pundits to spout even more bollocks

“This is who i think Southgate should pick for the euros. Allison, Alex..
“Stu, Allison is Brazilian”
“Yeah, but he’s an adopted scouser la. You’ll never… Er, Up the Iron”June 10, 2024 at 9:49 am #286857Is Poundshop Goldbridge doing a Euros special?

“Yeah, but he’s an adopted scouser la. You’ll never… Er, Up the Iron”He’ll probably do a Trump and say he was being sarcastic.
