It being postponed at least gives some supporters the opportunity to wheel out the old cliche about the prospect of being ‘dragged around the shops by the missus’, like they’re in an episode of On the Buses, despite looking about 12.

January 19, 2024 at 5:41 pm #279557Lots of games being called off early tommorow, when you think about it Tamworth and their fans will have to cancel coaches they’ve a better chance of getting their money back today so the coaches can be used tommorow and if somehow we get a free Saturday for the replay the money will hopefully flow again
January 19, 2024 at 6:50 pm #279562How convenient Butterfield and Whitehall back for the next match !!!!!
January 19, 2024 at 8:55 pm #279572Butterfield will be back against Darlo but I think Whitehall has to sit out 3 played games, could be wrong though !

Maybe our cold is the wrong kind of cold?
The wind chill factor produced a minus 34.5 degrees Celsius environment for the Chiefs and Dolphins to play in last Saturday.
10 people were hospitalised with frostbite or / and hypothermia during the Kansas Chiefs v Miami Dolphins NFL playoff game last weekend.
January 20, 2024 at 8:51 am #279581Winterton, App Frod, Barton, Brigg, Bottesford and even Gainsborough & Goole are all away today.
Lincoln v Derby

Fingers crossed that there’s no Storm Sue or Storm Johnny or even a “Hyperstorm” (Sue & Reeds grandson) battering the AA next Tuesday.
A couple or eleventeen (Worzel) of you may have me down as “Doctor Doom” but don’t be fooled by that “Fas(s)aud”… I’m just an aging “Silver Surfer” who wants us to be “Victorious” in every game.
Come tomorrow, and there are just Four Fantastic days to go until we battle the “Galactus” known as Tamworth.Jimbob, our “Puppet Master” will be pulling the strings as we start to “Klaw” our way back to the top of the table!

Tamworth are showing the game live in their clubhouse:
The @TheVanaramaNL have this afternoon confirmed that the rearranged date for our game at @SUFCOfficial will be Tuesday 30 Jan (KO 7.45). Supporters unable to travel must claim a refund from Scunthorpe before the game is played. The match will be streamed live in the clubhouse. pic.twitter.com/94XwNQDQ8B

January 26, 2024 at 7:52 am #279874The (Matt) Sadler in the saddle at the Saddlers fancied some Jelli(s).
January 30, 2024 at 10:47 pm #280097sadly its in their hands too – they’ll come here under no pressure – draw will be enough, never mind nicking a 1-0 win
Not sure about them being under no pressure. It’s tough at the top. The thought of sacrificing points, having the gap reduced and squandering all that good work will come with it’s own pressure. This is the sort of subliminal messaging we need them to hear. Make em over think it. Time for the mind games. Let’s have em losing it like Keegan.
This aged well…

And there’s the problem… we don’t even have a mere four fantastic players.
Only Fitz, Ogle & Butterfield are good enough.
The Avengers avenged that opening day of the season result.
They weren’t great either but they did what they do… win games.January 31, 2024 at 12:53 am #280108Tuesday the 30th.
