Time for Swann to be honest with us for once.
Has he got any intention of selling the club or is it just his usual false promise for the supporters.?
This club cannot carry on operating the way it does with Swann owning the club/ground.Please for the sake of the club sell up Now !.

Agree! It’s time the supporters were given an update on what’s happening at the club, if a sale is in due diligence then tell us, if players are been approached tell us (not their names obviously) if the manager is happy with the summer so far tell us.

That why at least the supporters are kept in the loop and silly rumours can be stopped, said this before the supporters are the life blood of a club so it’s time we were given more thought by the club.

They were quick to come out and ask us to support the club which appears to be happening with season ticket sales, so please don’t keep us in the dark any longer.

Don’t think he wants to sell he seems to be able to just fall back on the club when he seems to need cash, well that’s the way I see it,the silence is defeaning from the club which is deplorable come on what is going on is the club for sale or not

If anything is on sale, there is always a description on what the sale contains, and also a price put on it, Swann has no intention of selling the club, he actually still blames the supporters for it’s present sad position, Covid over ran it’s period of blame, then supporters, nothing has been declared by him as being his fault, it has been 100% his fault all along, but he just walked away and has said nothing, well nothing containing any truth.

He obviously does not want to sell the club, simply because he has drained it of everything, money, ground and land, decent players we had, 1,800 loyal fans and even it’s league status. He borrowed money from the football league causing an club embargo, and it has now been published that he has even taken loans on our stadium, this shows the true colours of this great man!!

So how the hell can he sell the club, when there is nothing left of it, and as I have stated all season, the best ending for Swann would be for the club to be wound up, for me that has been is his aim, then he can pocket very good money for all the land that he took from the club and its 5,000 supporters, can anyone see any reason why he kept Cox on for 12 months too long?

all this take over talk is a sham ..its Swann BS .. IMO there wont be one anytime soon for the precise reasons mentioned already in this thread .. i would add i hope im wrong but it we are stuck with this leech another season it just means more heartache and pain , hang on theres a song in there some where.

SUFC are possibly the worst club for keeping supporters updated .. winning awards etc deflects the fact no info ever seems to be shared re the general running of the club , be it a sale signings or other .. the club website is pants.

Not looking forward to Hills pre n post match drivel … wait n see if he thinks ” WE ARE GOOD ENOUGH ” for the NL as it seemed his favourite phrase in his L2 debacle and he cant blame anyone else now as its his baby now… i believe his points per game record remains the poorest of any manager at the club ..i may be wrong not sure but its still piss poor and got us relegated from the EFL.

To play devil’s advocate on this, the club (or UTI99) are going to come back with: –

We are actively looking for buyers, but a) negotiations are ongoing so details cannot be divulged. b) the interested parties have not matched our asking price.

More likely however that the issues surrounding the ground/land ownership have muddied the waters.

I really have no idea whether the Swanns are serious about selling up or not. After all we’ve been given so many promises that have failed to materialise.

So I’m not sure if I want to hear the takeover latest. Not from the club at any rate!

To con 1100+ into buying season tickets and then remaining silent re. the plight of our future is an absolute disgrace.
Just as annoying is the local ‘media’ sham who have done shown little intent on pressing the club for answers on the above.
    A sorry, sorry state

    Con?
My support is unconditional, if the choice is lose £2-300 quid or lose SUFC I know which option I’d take every day of the week.

I’ve just gone through years of doing the same waiting for a new owner, I’m too stubborn to let any owner deprive me off my football days, and I applaud you sticking with your team. That said, I recognise a bull*hitter when I hear one and Peter Swann is certainly …

Just take a look at Derby they went into administration in September so are definitely up for sale, every man and his dog want to own them, 9 months down the road and they are still not sold maybe today maybe not, Newcastle and Hull took years to sell, why do you think we will be any quicker? End of the day money talks if someone wants Scunny and they’ve got the readies Swanny will sell it to them, one needs to be a little patience.

A new ownership process was always going to be frustrating.

Alcazar may have been right in that Swann was a wrong ‘un, but he was sceptical that getting a new owner would be difficult. On that aspect, it looks like he was wrong. :-)

Walsall who got new owners this week had been in negotiations for over a year, did Walsall tell their supporters about the interest or what was happening down the line. NO they waited till the deal was done.

mortgaging the ground muddied everything, from that moment there was never going to be a sale in my opinion

Its possible that an incoming owner requires the EFL loan to be cleared and the ground has been mortgaged to raise funds to allow that to happen.

I think the what has mudded the water is when it got a ‘Value to The Community’ tag.

That did’nt go down well and still rankles I understand. And as regards getting the truth Ironintheblood – I am not holding my breath but good luck.

I imagine Swann mortgaged the ground so it would be easier to liquidate the ground if there are other creditors to pay, than not.

There is a lot of “imagining” and “thinking” going on, but very few facts. The reality is that nobody really knows anything!!
