Things look decidedly dicey over there – cancelling friendlies, no management team in place, fewer players than us (which is something in itself), players not being fully paid, players leaving – the list goes on. Have a read on the BBC if you haven’t seen it yet.
If it carries on, then it might be one game we could win this season :)

No Ian, not a win mate, possibly a 0-0 draw, you cannot win matches without forwards.
July 17, 2021 at 8:38 am #210509You can if you’re awarded the points for non-fulfilment!
July 17, 2021 at 9:08 am #210512Maybe we should play them 5 a side.

July 17, 2021 at 11:06 am #210520I think covid will rule quite a few games out on season start.
July 17, 2021 at 12:36 pm #210521It’s a pretty desperate situation, another example of a club being completely failed by the Football League’s “regulation”, a club being ruined by its owner. How many more times do we have to see this sorry story before real change happens?

July 17, 2021 at 12:39 pm #210522July 17, 2021 at 1:46 pm #210525I hope all Trust members and I know there has been an influx of new blood lately, have all filled in the Football Governance ( or something similar sounding ) survey that was sent out in the current newsletter, if we don’t make our feelings known then change will never come.

July 22, 2021 at 5:32 pm #210775I have heard they hope to be bringing over 700 fans with them. Good effort if they do. UTWI
July 22, 2021 at 6:41 pm #210778Nice to see their fans getting behind their club, it’s the football that only matters, their club as had real problems with their owner unlike us.
July 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm #210779Touch of plagiarism from Swindon’s new owner, heard a similar statement from Mr Swann when he became owner.

Remember when we played Portsmouth in 2014? We stuffed them 5-1, they were in a real mess as a club with their ownership yet their supporters turned out in numbers.
I met a few before the match, in the Berkeley ( ah, the Berkeley before a match, no longer, thank you Humphrey you little squirt) they were going to support their club through thick or thin, and then for them it was pretty thin, they knew they had a weak team but stood by them Good supporters, eventually the club was turned around. -
