The utter arrogance of Swann. We’ve only just listened to the interview on Radio Humberside after returning from holiday. The man, if you can call him that, shows no responsibility for any of his catastrophic decisions which have led to the demise of our Club. His arrogance is unsurpassable, which showed in the tone of his voice and his answers to straightforward questions. But then we know any of his answers are taken with a pinch of salt, in fact generally the complete opposite is usually the truth. Even now blaming the supporters for his disappearance act, the invisible man. Stating the fans don’t want him there so he has left. He was leaving anyway because he has no interest whatsoever in Scunthorpe United, the same as the rest of his family. Never his fault for anything is it??????? We’re not fooled though he is still pulling the strings of the people who are trying to keep Scunthorpe United afloat, Lee Turnbull, Tony Daws and others. He calls himself a businessman, not fit to clean the shoes of Steve Wharton and much much worse than Fenty,

September 18, 2022 at 11:24 am #245154And St Wharton wasn’t going to put us straight into liquidation, not even administration first NLI, what a man, all that extra spending in his last year an over spend of £2.5 million like I say what a man.
September 18, 2022 at 2:05 pm #245158The complexity of people with power and money when they say things like ” the fans want me gone yet expect me to keep funding the club “. Yes they do because people with power and money who are in charge should act responsibly and finish the job of supporting the fans club properly until it is sold in a proper and responsible way. When the owner arrived he stated he wanted to move the club forward and the very least he should now he is, apparently, wishing to sell, is to carry out his duty as a responsible person and fund the club until completion of sale. Let’s see how our current owner carries out his final duties as owner responsibly in the best interests of the football club he was so so desperate to own and make successful in the first place. Are we all holding our breaths in anticipation?

September 18, 2022 at 3:21 pm #245166The club was in a similar financial position to many with our average attendance when Wharton reigned awaywego. The fact we were considered one of the best run in the country with prospects helped him sell the club. Compare and contrast. So yes, ‘St Wharton’ without any hint of sarcasm.

September 18, 2022 at 3:56 pm #245168Which other clubs were they Deerey. “Were considered to be one of the best run” to being a club to be liquidated in a season, so we have St Wharton does that put Swanny in the frame to become pope.

September 18, 2022 at 5:04 pm #245170Don’t listen to what he says. Get a printout of it, then read it. You will see what he does – he doesn’t mislead, people mislead themselves. It is what he doesn’t say.
September 18, 2022 at 6:33 pm #245171Surely the Club are currently funding themselves.
Mr Swann mortgaged the Club and no doubt it’s this is from this money he is funding the Club.
So what happens when the mortgage money has gone ?September 18, 2022 at 6:51 pm #245172“When seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea” ooh Aah.
September 18, 2022 at 7:10 pm #245173so we have St Wharton does that put Swanny in the frame to become pope.
Judging on past form I’d say Swann would be a perfect choice for Pope!

Yes mate, so have I, as Awaywego will confirm (70 years), the difference being is that I have paid out money during that time, whilst they have been drawing money for very little outcome, fans do not have any influx on the clubs disasterouse performance on the field, whilst they should have. But we all know who is to blame, yes the Swann who has guided the club from top of League One, to bottom of the National League, and practical none existance shortly.

Yes eereyme, if you do not believe me Awaywego will confirm it for me, yes I got my ticket from the Henderson Avenue club building when aged eleven, I think it was 3d entry, and these prices kept the club operating, those days there was nothing in it for Swann’s pocket.
