The FIRST time the clubs owner stated verbally and in a written statement that.
” When we leave this club we will leave it better off financially than when we took over “.
So there we have it Mr Swanns own words, no misunderstanding a GUARANTEE. And as he is a professional and one assumes honourable businessman it will be HONOURED. Unless of course…..

not sure about the first time we haven’t had a scorecard, I don’t think we had one in the first season at GP, I could be wrong.

With it not being an owner funded scoreboard can the half time logo change to “SWANN OUT”, I’m sure the majority of the home fans would all sing along in unison. Some great half time entertainment at last, the spinning around a pole then falling on the floor like a dopey twat has worn a little thin over the years, although the majority of the first team tend to play like that.

It was Swanns ruling Awaywego. He said you couldn’t take your food and drink into the stadium and the stewards on the turnstiles werent allowing fans to take any in making fans drink theirs before entering the stadium.Yes Sanfran49 those were the very words Swann uttered at one of the early forums when he was spouting absolute rubbish the trouble is some fans believed him. We didn’t we saw straight through his lies and bull. Unless of course he does give the stadium, land and assets back to our Club where they belong.

Pat, easiest thing to do is use the ‘quote’ function rather than copy and pasting. That way you’ll quote the right person instead of Mick, and prevent winding him up mate.

We are getting a new super duper one soon not funded by Swann of course

Apparently we didn’t have a scoreboard when we first arrived at Glanford Park. Apologies to Mr Swann. Memory a bit dickie.
Still can’t muster my old sense of pride at wearing the club badge on my ‘bobble hat’ though. It feels like a golden chain stretching back over 60 years has somehow been tarnished and then broken.1 user thanked author for this post.
When that ‘no food or drink taken in’ rule was first implemented there was still a corner kiosk opening both inside and outside the ground. I bought a tea and went towards the turnstile. This young steward nervously told me I couldn’t take the drink in. I told him where I had bought it one minute before. I pointed out that I could have gone in and bought it on the other side. Still wouldn’t let me in. I had three choices. Drink it outside. Nope. Take it back to the kiosk and have them pass it to me when I got in. Maybe … but nope. I kicked off til the Senior Steward came .. and let me in. It didn’t make me feel loved, appreciated and valued as a customer I can tell you.
