When you look at where SWANN has taken Scunthorpe United, to the depths of despair and then compare him to Steve Fenty, the previous owner of Grimsby Town and the Allams, the previous owners of Hull City, in my opinion there are comparisons, but by far the worst owner of all three is SWANN. Yes Hull City is a much bigger club but the Allams took Hull to the Premier and have now sold the club. But the Allams have poured millions into Hull the City hospitals and are Hull people. Their mistake was the change of name application which really upset most of their supporters. Can you imagine their stadium being named after the owners hotel. Yes Grimsby Town are out of the EFL but Fenty hasn’t walked away with their ground and assets. SWANN has made us unsaleable. This is my opinion.

January 23, 2022 at 12:47 pm #230316It’s John Fenty and yes I agree we have come of worse.
January 23, 2022 at 12:49 pm #230317Peter Swann is a complete and utter disgrace and should be ashamed at what he has done to our football club.

January 23, 2022 at 12:52 pm #230318Peter Swann will read the comments and unless it is liable and warrants a solicitors letter and threat of court action he will not be bothered.

January 23, 2022 at 1:07 pm #230321What can we do to make this idiot change his way or do we just have to accept he murdering our football club. I have never in my whole life been as dispondent about Scunthorpe United as I am now.

January 23, 2022 at 1:18 pm #230324Sadly he wants money – more than the average supporter can raise as a collective.
It needs a consortium who the supporters can then get involved in their club again. And I do believe fans will do.
Mr Swann was always on about the match day experience for supporters, from buying food, a pint and then be entertained by the football.
At any stage from day 1 did the food offering improve ? Then when did it start to get worse – and you would not think that was possible !!
Was plain to see but the fans hoped.

January 23, 2022 at 1:32 pm #230327Just goes to show how fickle football fans are wanting rid of the allams or Mike Ashley for that matter.
January 23, 2022 at 1:44 pm #230329Bigger fan bases always demand more Awaywego, all we demand is the club be run properly and the fans be made to feel a part of the club. Not too much to ask really but here we are in the here and now completely pissed off with way the club is run and the fans feeling more isolated from the club then ever before.

January 23, 2022 at 2:23 pm #230333So this isn’t about a tag wrestling match at Baths Hall?

January 23, 2022 at 2:40 pm #230335You’re right about the matchday experience sanfran. MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE: not only did the food get worse but Swann decided supporters couldn’t take any food or drink in to the stadium, and then he increased the prices too. Then he decided NO MATCHDAY PROGRAMME, NO WORKING SCOREBOARD, TOILETS NOT FIT FOR USE, and at the beginning of the season SUPPORTERS HAD TO CLEAN THEIR OWN SEATS AS THEY WERE TOO FILTHY TO BE SAT ON. This has turned out to be some MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE ALRIGHT!!!!!!!
January 23, 2022 at 10:27 pm #230352The Allams are a complex family, their way or no way. As per the OP they’ve poured millions in for the university and hospitals, and ran a very tight financial ship at the football club. That said the old man is deluded and obsessed with Hull Tigers, and by his own admission is not a football fan. Sad really as it could/should have ended so differently , but good riddance quack!
January 24, 2022 at 8:58 am #230360I never really understood what the Hull fans had against Allam. The Tigers name change seemed to whither on the vine a few years ago and since then they seem, from the outside at least, to have been run pretty sensibly.
If I were a Hull fan, I’d certainly be pretty sceptical about this new guy they’ve got in charge there now – sacking Grant McCann seems a pretty odd first step to take as owner.

January 24, 2022 at 10:57 am #230374I’m sceptical about ALL owners. As for Allam, name change, removal of all concession prices, eviction of sports group from the arena, trying to sell the trampolines of said sports group even though they belonged to the sports group, when challenged Junior said ‘I’m doing what’s morally right for me’ telling fans to die, the only Premier League club to spend a fund dedicated soley for away fans on facilities at their own stadium, every other club used it for cheaper away travel or tickets, refusal to engage with the Trust which is a FL requirement, telling fans they were irrelevant as the bulk of income came from the Sky and the Premier League, a change of tune followed.
The Allams time is perfectly described by Charles Dickens, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the season of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us …January 24, 2022 at 11:38 am #230377As for Allam, name change, removal of all concession prices, eviction of sports group from the arena, trying to sell the trampolines of said sports group even though they belonged to the sports group, when challenged Junior said ‘I’m doing what’s morally right for me’ telling fans to die, the only Premier League club to spend a fund dedicated soley for away fans on facilities at their own stadium, every other club used it for cheaper away travel or tickets, refusal to engage with the Trust which is a FL requirement, telling fans they were irrelevant as the bulk of income came from the Sky and the Premier League, a change of tune followed.
Fair enough! These are the sorts of things you miss from the outside but which really should be reported more.
