40 Mins in so far, feeling sorry for himself trying to make out the fans fans who’s voicing their displeasure now are apparently the one’s who wanted him out from day one.
These seriously need to press him on the shit he’s caused…all been very tame.
Utter shite so far.
January 18, 2021 at 8:01 pm #201230“Were the players who we’re brought in before Cox was signed of manager, going to arrive even if already had the manager in place ?
Swann…… “covid hit”
Answer the effing question.
Talks without really saying anything…in other words yes.
January 18, 2021 at 8:34 pm #201233Stuck it out for a whole 15 minutes then turned off, I’m done listening to this guy talk crap and avoid the issues raised. What a waste of time having him on the podcast.
January 18, 2021 at 8:39 pm #201234Still not acknowledging it’s his meddling that’s the cause of all this. No wonder we’re in the crap we’re in with him in charge.
Swann say’s he’s learned things since last season and yet still signs utter crap due to not having a clue what he’s doing.
In complete denial.

I’m sat here in disbelief
January 18, 2021 at 8:59 pm #201239He’d make a good politician
January 18, 2021 at 9:03 pm #201240I’ve noticed the hosts didn’t even ask one of those hard questions which were sent in. All very nicey, nicey.
If even some of the hard questions don’t get put to him, why do we even get asked to sent them in, in the first place ?
All a waste of time.

January 18, 2021 at 9:10 pm #201242First question should of been when are you sacking the manager for such dire football that we’ve witnessed for decades.
Pointless podcast that has told us nothing. Anyone count how many times Covid was said.
Every answer had it.
It could of been wrapped up in 20mins that.Definitely time for new interests in life.

January 18, 2021 at 9:23 pm #201248Complete and utter waste of time.
Blamed covid for nearly everything and used politician speel to explain the few more difficult questions he got put to him…resulting in him speaking a lot but not really saying anything.
I wanted Turan and Jarvis records read out to him and asked why if the records were so bad, why did we choose sign them on 2 yr contracts ?
Those are the kind of questions I want answering. I want to know who makes up this so called transfer committee and whether it’s going to be scrapped, now that another raft of poor players have been signed.
That needs asking.
Mr Swann got very, very easy ride there.

January 18, 2021 at 9:32 pm #201250I can imagine that it is a very difficult balancing act for the lads. They are doing it for the love and In my opinion they do a great job. A lot of pertinent questions have been asked this evening so fair play to them and I appreciate their time and also regardless of what you made of his answers fair play to mr swann for talking and giving up his time. I would not personally want to do what the lads do. They are doing their best and they are not professionals, just trying their best for the rest of us so fair play to them. If they completely ripped Swann apart for 2 hours we probably wouldnt hear from him again, so I am happy with a middle ground. swann gets a harder time from the podcast boys than he does from the professionals – who are really the ones that should be asking difficult questions but again we have seen many times when media piss off clubs and chairman they lose access so again a very difficult balancing act. well done boys. ignore all the idiots on here if you are reading this. thanks again. i hope peter’s arrogance doesnt come back to kick him in the balls again. what is it with the swanns and arrogance? up the iron

January 18, 2021 at 10:02 pm #201251The amount of times Covid was used as an excuse…nearly threw my effing phone out the window!!
And then to top it all off he thought Jarvis was just starting to show us what he was made of and ‘working the channels really well’. You couldn’t make it up!

January 18, 2021 at 10:34 pm #201257How about we have a whip-round and hire Jeremy Paxman to host the next one?
As noted above, pure politician speak. Waste of an hour and three quarters. Shouldn’t be surprised of course he’s been doing it for years.
The classic was saying that Hurst was dismissed because he didn’t do what he’d promised to do. Pot calling kettle black or what?
Jarvis starting to show promise? You’re having a laugh!
Everyone is up for it next Saturday. We’ll see.
I don’t want to dwell on the past, let’s concentrate on the present. Then goes on about promotion from L2, five seasons in L1 etc!
Have we a contingency plan for if we’re relegated? No, because we’re not going to be relegated! Really?
So nothing is going to be happening. Swann, cygnets, management, coaches are all staying.
Best case scenario, fringe players out on loan and a couple of new signings.
Depressing.

January 18, 2021 at 11:18 pm #201259Didn’t really tell us anything new but didn’t expect much from it to be honest. Thanks to the lads for trying their best but my god Peter rambles on. I nearly fallen asleep an hour in and when he mentioned there is only so much walking dead you can watch I thought I know we’ve been watching it twice a week since august with cox in charge lol. Looking forward to hear many of you on hull fm when Peter makes his next appearance so you can address your consern directly. Just pick up the phone and speak to him directly. You have had the opportunity in the past but mike dean has to beg people to call and not one of you ever calls to confront him. If you have something to say, say it to his face but you Never do. So fair play to the lads for having a go when many wouldnt .

January 19, 2021 at 12:03 am #201260If they completely ripped Swann apart for 2 hours we probably wouldn’t hear from him again
Look, I appreciate all Matt does, he does a sterling job. I’ve already said so. Nobody wanted them to rip into him for 2 hours but he could have been given a much tougher examination.
I wouldn’t want anybody to have a a verbal battle with him, all I wanted was tough questions to be asked.
There were some sterling pressing questions sent in…one’s people really need answering but nothing really got put to him.

January 19, 2021 at 12:51 am #201261You cannot really blame Peter Swann, he could not have asked any more easy questions if he had prepared them himself, the trouble was from the start, Matt is too nice a guy to be given the job of asking and selecting the questions, we all knew what it would be like, just as the forums at GP are, or should have said were.
With the football club being in the state it is and has been for over three years, it should have been the easiest job in the world to throw the questions at him that supporters are wanting answers to.
Every present aspect of our club is in tatters.
1. Club finances.
2. Quality of the present squad of players.
3. The size of the squad of over 30 players.
4. The complete lack of entertainment being served up for over 3 years.
5. Why the defensive set up even when home to crap teams.
6. Why do we insist on playing with only one up front player.
7. Who selected to bring in all these sub-standard players?.
8. Who will be choosing any future incoming players.
9. N Lincs Covid record being so good how can you use it as excuse for our record?
10. Do you not feel that you have lost many loyal season ticket holders, after 2020?
11. With a record of two wins in 15 Homre games, what more can the manager do to get sacked?
12. With a squad of over 30 players, how can we not have at least 1 keeper and centre forward
13. Is there any need for an under 23 team, withit being Jan and only played 3 matches?
14. How much longer can the clunb survive with no money coming in?
15. Do you not think we are overloaded with all the managers, asst managers, coaches etc.
16. How many more matches like the present one’s are you to put up with ?????After the 2 new stadiums, 1 ground re-furbishment, 160 appartment construction, Championship football ambition, what are next seasons carrots awauting to be dangled at the season ticket holders, and loyal supporters. the only one I can think of is the offer of seeing new visiting teams from Chorley and Dover etc.

January 19, 2021 at 11:08 am #20127816. How many more matches like the present one’s are you to put up with ?????
Didn’t he say that all the games in the division had been poor this season?
Something to do with pitches (our was holding up okay) and no crowds in the stadium.
BS, even if those questions had been asked Swann had a lame excuse ready.
January 19, 2021 at 12:16 pm #201283Yeah apparently there are no decent sides in League 2 and you can’t play football on these pitches. No Peter, we’re just shit and other teams are much better than us!
After this weekend we could find ourselves in the bottom two and I’d have my money on us not getting back out of it.

January 19, 2021 at 12:18 pm #201284I switched off at the imaginary stand-up argument between Neil Cox and Peter Swann – where Neil barges into Peter’s office and says “You know that recruitment position that you made redundant because the job is no longer needed – well I’ve got somebody perfect for that ‘no longer required’ job. He is a 23 year old guy who has played a lot of Football Manager 2020 and coincidentally is your son. I insist you reinstate the position so that I can employ him”. The scene ends with Neil leaving the room, wiping ordure from the end of his nose.
Presumably there have been similar discussions where Neil proposes recruiting Johnny Vegas to the non-existent position of team nutritionist because he once appeared on celebrity bake-off.January 19, 2021 at 12:25 pm #201287The whole interview was disheartening and was the first time I’ve felt more worried than reassured after listening to
Swann.I commented before That I wanted accountability, all we got was excuses and feeble ones at that: poor pitches? Do me a favour.
As for people criticising the questions: I’ve been to numerous fan’s forums over the years where we all have the opportunity to give Swann what for and instead we get questions about penalty taking the ticketing system. Easier to be Jeremy Paxman sat behind a keyboard.
The more rigorous interviewing should be coming from the telegraph and Humberside
January 19, 2021 at 12:26 pm #201288I listened to 45 minutes last night before I lost the feed, but have listened to it all this morning and though I didn’t agree with everything he said he still had the guts to come out here and be interviewed, he had some valid points about it being difficult playing without spectators etc, but I didn’t completely agree about the summer recruitment, though he did say Lee Turnbull had no input with the signings just like Lee told me a few weeks ago, because Lee told me he wouldn’t have signed over half of them, at least we can’t get much worse and hopefully with a fit KVV and possibly another striker we can get away from the bottom 4 or 5 of the league.
January 19, 2021 at 12:45 pm #201292I think that the Chairman and I are on different planets.
If I agreed with him on the matters discussed, we’d both be wrong!
January 19, 2021 at 1:04 pm #201293Yeah apparently there are no decent sides in League 2 and you can’t play football on these pitches. No Peter, we’re just shit and other teams are much better than us!
An interesting point, given our away record is better than our home record!
January 19, 2021 at 1:15 pm #201294he still had the guts to come out here and be interviewed, he had some valid points about it being difficult playing without spectators etc,
But it’s the same for all EFL & NL clubs.
If it had all come about since March then fair enough, but the football has been dire for three years now.
I didn’t need to hear about roundabouts on the dual carriageway. What I wanted was an admission that recruitment policies had failed and what was going to be done to turn things around.
Being told we’ll be fine once Kev is back didn’t cut it for me!

January 19, 2021 at 1:36 pm #201297You can ask questions but for the process be completed the answers have to ACTUALLY answer them !
That is why I stopped attending the FORUMS – “In the beginning there was the word , and the word was according to Peter” ! and nothing changes.
Now asks for suggestions but at one forum he said never listens to them because people aren’t giving them for free ! They want some form of reward for them ! But zero comment about his stance then.
Before the first question Mr Swann could have made a statement addressing the obvious issues – nothing !! I doubt change will follow.

January 19, 2021 at 7:23 pm #201316Most of the above points have foundation. One very good point he made though is who else would take it on? Be careful what you wish for….
