Swannster has come out of hiding and is due to be on the podcast live from 5pm today.

    This should be interesting.

Get ready for covid being to blame for everything and that he’s backing Cox till the end.

There’s no way he’s sacking Cox, if he had any intention to sack him, then he wouldn’t have agreed to go on the podcast today as he just would have sacked him behind closed doors.

If its not about getting rid of the manager or selling up then what is there to say? Just the same empty platitudes that please only the fawning underlings happy to lap up anything he says.

Hope the interviewers find the courage of their conviction and probe him on his absence, efl loan (when is he paying this back?), asset transfer, state of everything SUFC at the minute.

Can see a passive aggressive plea for supporters to return.

If it’s not about handing control over or transferring the assets back then he’s wasting his breath.

Can’t be arsed to even listen to the bullshit. Supporters fault for not turning up. You get what you deserve. Neil and the team are doing a fantastic job. I’ve made some mistakes but I can’t actually think of any.

    Are you Boris in disguise?

Wake me up when it’s over.

Did you borrow that last line from your wife MK?😂
Seriously, the guys should go for the jugular and give Swann the hard time he deserves, if he gets upset and storms off or we never hear him utter a word again who’s bothered, we are fu***d because of him.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he complains about the flak he’s been getting on social media and issues some threats.

Well done guys on a good podcast and some challenging questions. And thanks to the the owner for being interviewed. Not convinced by some of the answers but just my opinion. I don’t think it was fair of him to be insinuating you were comparing him to Fenty btw. As I heard the question it was more about comparing SUFC with how the Cods are currently thriving. And no supporter would rather us be non-league either.

It will be interesting to hear the interview with the Telegraph (tomorrow is it?). I suspect that will be prickly to say the least.

Probably means we will be the first non league club selling prawn crackers and rice cakes from our food outlets next season. You don’t need to serve them hot either.

Any chance of a brief summary for those of us who couldn’t listen live?

Er, I’ll try, from what I can remember, though nothing that new bit a lot covered:

Chinese takeover rumour: news to him, first he’d heard of it.

League position unacceptable but didn’t want to put a timescale on how long to give Neil, who has his full support. Seemed to be blaming injuries for a lot of on pitch problems, particularly Loft but acknowledged problems elsewhere on pitch. Happy with Rory. Not disappointed with performances but cconceding late has cost points. Not getting hammered by opposition.

Why has he been absent? A lot of commitments but is around more than some owners. Has been quiet because till know no ones asked to interview him. Knows some fans want him gone but doesn’t believe a buyer is out there. Supporters are welcome to offer buying.

Ground developments. Covid has stalled everything but hoping to start soon. Not sure I understood exactly what. Some old ground covered about the problems of the past with NLCC.

We can’t continue on 3,000 average attendance but club financially secure with no debts. He’s put a lot of his own money in. Survey going out to ask why a third of fans not going. Doesn’t think it’s just performances. We’ll see what everyone says.

These were the keys areas for me NI. There was a lot more discussed but hopefully that’s fairly accurate account. I’m sure you’ll be able to hear it soon.

Sounded somewhat puzzled as to why fans aren’t turning up. This bloke is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Brought covid up about a dozen times and is willing to give Cox another 5 games. I head him say “we look to pick up wins in the next 5 games” something along those lines.

Somebody needs to tell him to just put the club up for sale, it’s ok saying he doesn’t think anybody is out there but if he’s not willing to put it on the market, how the hell does he know ?

My heart sank when he said ” I’ll go when I decide I want to move on ” In other words, I’m not putting the club up and You’re stuck with me Until I want to go ”

This situation is exactly like Karl Oyston at Blackpool, everybody wanted him gone but he stayed out of spite and only went when he was forced to leave .

Swann thinks we’re not that bad as a team and that we could have easily have had another 7 points.

Whatever he’s had, I want. God almighty.

I’ve heard some shite in my time and that’s right up there.

The most disappointing thing for me was what I perceive to be a lack of humility, that we should be grateful he’s here. Doesn’t sit right with needing more supporters through the gates. Not wanting him to beg or anything but it doesn’t strike me as an incentive for the stay aways to start returning. Maybe swallow some pride and tell the fans how much they’re valued and needed? Any club thriving will be doing this. Still think there’s too much ‘us and them’ that won’t turn this around.

Not doubt there is. I’m saying this mirrors that situation at Blackpool. This will get volatile down the line, people are already sick of his shite now.

I have an idea why he’ll stay around. I have a slight suspicion, if the club does get wound up then he’s got what, roughly 20-25 million pounds worth of assets for around 12 million “the debt that was written off in exchange”

Imagine all that land that he’ll be able to build on ?

I’m not by any means saying that’s what his end game is but it’s looking like that’s a distinct possibility.

I’ll say again I’m not saying this is what he’s up to, I’m merely saying this is a very real possibility.

I can’t shake the feeling that we’re all going to be in for quite the shock in the next few years.

In a nutshell nothing his fault all COVID, fans, NLC, anything else except him accepting blame. Didn’t see that other clubs have had increased attendance.

The guy is a narcissist who lives in some other parallel universe where unicorns roam.

I knew COVID would come up but it was laughable half way through.

He is a plum and so is the manager. A right pair of plums.

Well guys there we have it, I have never seen it on the TV News that Scunthorpe is the only place that has had this Covid virus, but Swann keeps laying the blame on it as if we are the only place effected by it. It is the same with injuries, does he think that other teams don’t get players injured??

He said that he doesn’t think it is the standard of football rgat is keeping fans away!!!!!, he says that win , lose or draw supporters still follow their teams, but he has forgotten, the WIN portion of this is missing at GP, plus entertainment is zero.

He says that we are only 10 games in, in fact we are 56 games in because we had a full season of the same rubbish last season, and sadly there is no signs of things getting better, but he appears happy to let it go on and on and it is Neil this and Neil that, does Swann not just stop and think that this coaching team have been in charge for these 56 matches??????

This would have been ok and acceptable if we had not heard the same for 8 years, without even one thing coming to fore, if Swann thinks things are fine and the club will survive being run like this, then as a long term supporter of 71 years, I will tell him that there is no point in fans turning up just to say that they are sticking by the club, but being truthful are in fact paying to be bored to bloody tears, I would think that if things stay as they are now, he would be pleased with 2,500 supporters in Jan and Feb, because things must surely be running very thin with even more fans.

Just get Cox and his fellow clowns out of our once loved club, we are not happy to see the club in the state it has been for the past three years, we are angry and sad.
