It’s not the fact the building work hasn’t started (who honestly believes Swann will/can do anything?) its the fact Swann comes out with these statements and never, ever delivers any one of them. Some people still believe the crap he comes out with but part of the reason he isn’t trusted is because he keeps coming out with this stuff – he just likes being on the radio and listening to his own voice – what comes out of his mouth is irrelevant to him

Reminds me of someone else with a slightly more important job.

the only thing he has delivered is the low budget.

As the missus & I recall, at the Shareholders meeting Swanny said work would begin on the flats ‘in a couple of weeks’, not the stand. We live away from Scunny, so dunno if anything’s actually happened in the car park area that’s going to be developed??

I’m not sure we’d be much better off overall if Hill had been in charge since August.

The fact we can actually run around and press for pretty much the full 90minutes instead of just the 30minutes we managed before answers that.

The fact we actually look like a team now is another start contrast to life under cox. If you aren’t sure we wouldn’t be in a better position if Hill was here in august, I worry for you.

How the hell can you not see we would be better off now if he had been here longer ?

Dunno about August, but if Hill had been brought in after Tranmere got rid in May, then he’d have been able to oversee the summer transfers, which for the second season under Cox were mostly disastrous.

I doubt we’d have signed O’Neill or Perry, and perhaps Kenyon’s and Bunn’s injury records would have been picked up on.

We’d have had a B&N in the building for sure and most likely a decent captain.

All ifs and buts I know, but I’d argue he’s more savvy than Cox when it comes to bringing in the right players.

    Hill schmill.
My money is still firmly on non-league for the foreseeable future, many of us will never see a return to league football.
Merry Christmas Swann, you utter turd.

Yes sadly pretty much my feelings … depending on the ins and outs next month im holding out a wiff of survival but if push came to shove and using my head not heart i had to put 500 quid on as a bet it would have to be on the Iron going out the league, ans as previously said looking at the NL its very difficult getting out of it again (at the right end.
All i want for Christmas is SUFC league survival … is that too much to ask Santa ??

Hope everyone had/has a great Xmas day and a safe and prosperous New Year
