Times up!!!!
Pack your bags and go.
You’ve taken a football league club with loads of history and destroyed it!!
For me, you are the worst thing that’s happened to my club since it began to exist.
You’ve given us, So so so many false promises
And we can always rely on Your Perfectly timed press releases and interviews to deflect from What’s actually happening.
where does this end??
Will we be a part time team??
In the national league north with attendances of 500???In the years before you arrived we had average attendances over 6,000 and championship football… look what you have done!!!

We are screwed on and off the pitch by himMany times he has said in forums and statements that when he left, the club will be better off financially than when he arrived. His words not mine or anyone else !
My goodness this is going to be good, bet the the word covid is in the excuse !

We are screwed on and off the pitch by him“No-one will buy the club, oh boo hoo!”
Heard it all before.
So have Grimsby and many others.
Turns out not to be true. And now our entire club is worth 50p and a half-sucked toffee, someone might take a punt.
Also, Swann owns the ground.
We’d have to rent it.
That means a FAIR rent…either peanuts given the current state of it, or he’s got to renovate it🙂😄Turns out the “astute businessman” hasn’t done himself any favours either.
And that IS amusing.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 6, 2022 at 11:19 am #231524SWANN knows he left it far far too late to get a new manager in and new players. This should have been done at the end of the last season. But no what did he do. He cut the playing budget even further, released our players who were good enough for this division, and kept a manager on who was short of ideas, as a scapegoat for himself and what he had done to our Club. He released Vann Veen, Lund, Gillead, Iesa and McCattee fully knowing that we managed just with the skin of our teeth to not be relegated. These players were far better than any we have now on the books. DONT ANYONE TELL ME THESES WERE THE ACTIONS OF A CHAIRMAN WHO WANTED TO KEEP US IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE!!!!!!!

February 6, 2022 at 11:28 am #231526The main reason the gate was so high yesterday was 1500 away fans. If our home gate was 3,500 every home match you don’t think SWANN would spend that on players do you uti99? The gates this season are the lowest for many seasons and that is down to where SWANN has driven Scunthorpe United and its looking highly likely he is going to drive us down even lower out of the Football League.

February 6, 2022 at 11:37 am #231528Point of order, we haven’t been relegated yet. Steve McQueen is revving up as we speak…

Some truth in that, but you don’t give the reasons for why we don’t get 5k gates.
Could the poor fare on offer be anything to do with it? Bad recruitment, a lack of goals (or indeed, goal mouth action), zero chance of seeing a victory.
A hardcore 2000 will turn up, but 5000? You’re having a laugh!

Who forgot to put the petrol in yesterday?

February 6, 2022 at 5:35 pm #231559SWANN has wrecked our Club, in my opinion there is no doubt about that. We can’t allow him to use Hill as a scapegoat though for the position he has led our Club to. It was obvious yesterday v Oldham that the players Hill has brought in are now where near match fit and when they are it will probably be too late to gain the wins we need to stay in the league. The players available to Hill in the window were probably struggling to find clubs. To sign players who were match fit and ready to go SWANN needed to have paid off the EFL loan to try and keep us in the league but as many times before he backtracked on his statement and would not pay off the loan. SWANN IS TOTALLY TO BLAME FOR OUR CLUBS SITUATION!!!!!

We are screwed on and off the pitch by himNot sure I buy this line of thought. The word from the club is that it is “sustainable”, which I understand to mean that the club spends what it earns. If that is the case, what does it matter who the owner is?
1 user thanked author for this post.
February 7, 2022 at 9:38 am #231595No – the word from Swann is that the club is sustainable. Swann’s words carry as much credibility as a fat kid caught with his hand in a cookie jar saying I haven’t eaten the biscuits.

Topics: 11It’s not really hard to understand that the club is ‘sustainable’ aslong as crowds stay above a set figure for which the budget was determined. IF they drop below that figure then losses need covering, which Swann is currently having to do!
