June 6, 2022 at 10:30 pm #238396June 6, 2022 at 11:51 pm #238397leIt is almost impossible for Scunny signings, the club has no money, they are a low wage payer, they have just been relegated out of the football league, the club owner has no interest in the club what so ever, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the clubs continued existance, and have just ended the season in last place in the bottom football league miles below any other team with a no win record of 17 matches, so who the hell is going to sign for our club????. There are not too many Turans about that are available. The club has nothing to offer any player that has any sorts of skills or ambition, THANK YOU SO MUCH PETER SWANN.

As some of you seem to think all income has stopped. 🤦🏻♂️
June 7, 2022 at 6:05 pm #238435This bit is interesting:-
“In a statement made by the Oldham Athletic board in the aftermath of relegation to the National Conference, they accepted responsibility for relegation which “represents a total failure” and that the budget for next season will remain the same.”June 7, 2022 at 6:10 pm #238436AnonymousInactiveOffline

June 7, 2022 at 6:25 pm #238439No comment on the really interesting bit?

June 7, 2022 at 6:45 pm #238442Only one thing the person responsible for the clubs situation can do to help the club regain EFL status.
We all know what that is but for the couple of posters that might be struggling with it the second word is off.

Oldhams board have accepted the blame for relegation
Oldhams board have affirmed their budget will be the same
Oldham have begun signing playersCan you see the differences?

June 7, 2022 at 7:58 pm #238448I see York have signed Scott Boden from Boreham Wood, always been decent at National League level, but at Glanford Park……

Hill or Will? Also, you’ve got to be kidding if you’re suggesting either would be able to wheel and deal as they wish. Is there an unlimited budget?
June 7, 2022 at 9:54 pm #238454If our budget is the same as last season gawd ‘elp us!

June 8, 2022 at 4:30 pm #238494Hippolyte’s signed a 2 year deal with Stockport. Must be doing something right there. Worked out well for him.
June 8, 2022 at 7:13 pm #238502Let’s hope we don’t sign that Starker bloke, complete open goal today and couldn’t even get a shot away against lame opposition.
June 8, 2022 at 7:20 pm #238504Others are saying the opposite (his last point did leave the Tories silenced).
Anyway, non-footy! ;-)

June 13, 2022 at 11:29 am #238661Right then.
This is the week when, those clubs taking things seriously, start to hammer their side into shape.
I assume that KH and LT have finished their holidays and now they can get stuck in.
The side should be more or less in place over the next 12 days.Incidentally, are we expected to be pursuing Érico Henrique Esteves de Sousa?
June 13, 2022 at 11:38 am #238662June 13, 2022 at 11:40 am #238663A big word ‘should’.

June 13, 2022 at 12:23 pm #238664Can’t see us signing de Sousa. Would eat up half the player budget putting hi name on his shirt.
June 13, 2022 at 12:33 pm #238665Just ‘Eric’ would be OK. Some Cods rate him.
June 13, 2022 at 1:29 pm #238666How come the Cods haven’t offered him a new contract?
Emotional goodbyes following GTFC’s Retained List announcement
June 13, 2022 at 1:55 pm #238667Should have said “some Cods fans” as clearly the manager doesn’t see him as L2 standard.
June 13, 2022 at 1:57 pm #238668Saw all 3 playoff games and a couple of the Cods league games and he was decent to good in all of them. Read somewhere from Cods fans that the final pass/shot is what lets him down and there was evidence of that.
Like many players at this level it is the final piece that stops them being Championship or League 1 players and keeps them at this level.
If we have a sqaud the same calibre as last season he would play every game.
