Yep,simultaneously claiming to have wanted to help the club out under Hilton while wanting more back on than they put in now ,despite the club being in a precarious position.

“What are you talking about? The 1899 membership money was paid to Scunthorpe United Football Club, not to SUFC1899 Ltd, and not to David Hilton. Of course, he was in charge of the football club at the time, so he had the option to direct funds wherever he or the club wanted.

The option of the share in SUFC1899 Ltd was sold and marketed as the shareholder being a part of the company that owned the ground.

Many people handed over money in good faith, and I’m sure many of them have parted with more money supporting the club since then.

Who do you think you are to criticize, mock, and belittle people who ultimately tried to help the club in one of its hours of need?”

It wasn’t to support the club,it was to pay for Hilton attempt to buy GP,as he couldn’t back up his boasts ,they abused people when it was printed out that they get nothing for £1899,at least this current way they they get something.Funny that they wanted to help the club when owned by a fraudster but now want more than their money’s worth back .Once you put a stake in the moral high ground you’re gonna get looked at

I agree with 64 here. The scheme was nothing more than a money making trip for Dave and will cost the club. The deal seems good, so I don’t get why those who care for the club’s future would sound off about not getting more when they might have been left in the lurch after Dave’s ponzi schemes. I appreciate it’s only some moaning.

“Yes, it probably is, but therein lies another problem. Although under the ownership of David Hilton, it was still sold and marketed by Scunthorpe United. This puts those members in a difficult position as any recourse or compensation would be against the club under its current owners. The club appears to be doing the best it can to offer a solution that limits its ongoing financial commitment to this issue while still trying to give the 1899 / 100 club members something in return.

Unless any of the accusations against David Hilton actually go further, and charges are brought against him, it is an unfortunate situation that the current owners have inherited. It is also a situation that those members find themselves in through no fault of their own.”

Anyone who had it and engaged was abusive,they all loved Hilton who walked away leaving them with nothing if the new ownership didn’t step up ,remember that.At least this way you get your money back
