Seen some comments elsewhere today predicting the end is near… can the club survive beyond this season? Interested to know people’s genuine thoughts/worries on the matter?

    National league amateurs next year.

It makes you weep to think how we have fallen in the last five years.

    Championship contenders/new stadium, cuckoo land.

And someone said Wharton ran it like a hobby rather than a business and it needed sorting out.

    STOP IT!

It’s bad enough being stuck in lockdown without being able to pop down the pub for a pint or see your family without worrying about the Iron going out the league.

    Too depressing to think about.

It really is depresing Northumbiron, but fans are beginning to get realistic with the situation, it is only November and we are out of all three Cups, and bottom of League Two, and I know that you do notwant reminding again, but we have ONE WIN in our leagie and cup matches, and who is going to predict where the next win will be with this shower of a squad?????

Perfect storm of Covid, chairman-selected squad with no balance experience or confidence and a rookie manager struggling with the job.

We’ll be non league next year unless other clubs don’t last as long as us which is an awful place to be.

We’ll be non league with around 30 professional players with crowds of 1,500. Thing is most of the vanity project players from Swann won’t be good enough for that league.

    last 15 games W1 D1 L13.

Do people think Covid has made much difference to our league position (aside from the fact we’ve got games in hand) this season? Would it have been any different if this had been a normal season?

the way we are getting points at the moment those 3 games may as well be zero, it is like 2 years ago when we needed 10 points from 15 games and still failed miserably.

I don’t think COVID has had much of an effect on league position but it will on clubs ability to function, most clubs had good solid professionals in, we used the pandemic to get rubbish in, Wilcox saw it coming so didn’t want it and we ended up with Cox. This would’ve happened anyway is my guess…..
