Now that our Club’s plight is being shown on social media is the time for supporters to hilight what is going on with Swann and his inaction in selling our Club to the local consortium who have put several bids in. But he keeps moving the goalposts. The enthusiasm and excitement shown when they thought Swann had agreed the sale was huge and it was obvious they couldn’t wait to get started on their journey and plans to move our Club on from the disastrous regime of the Swanns. It appears he would rather sell yo anyone apart from the consortium who have the best interests and will by fully focused on Scunthorpe United FC as opposed to other fly-by-nights who may be here today and gone tomorrow. If Swann wants to leave with any street cred whatsoever surely he will allow the sale to go through. But wait a moment nothing is ever down to him and anything negative will be our fans faults and his street cred is on a minus now and I would have thought his business cred will be on a minus too.
January 14, 2023 at 3:44 pm #252752Can you tell me how you know he has moved the goalposts? I was unaware that anything has been made public.
Please also explain how you know he would rather sell to anyone other than the local consortium. As far as I know there have been no other offers made. Let me know if I am wrong.
None of us want this to drag on any longer than it needs to, but making up stuff just agitates people even more.

January 14, 2023 at 6:15 pm #252764You have to make allowances some like NLI and BS are showing their senility now.
January 14, 2023 at 6:58 pm #252769These are just my thoughts and instincts due to the ongoing dire situation with Swann. A deal had supposedly be done with Ian and Simon in December. Simon came on the radio and stated that Peter and Karin Swann had rung him and wished them the best of luck. People in the media have said also that the goalposts keep being moved. The London consortium also put a bid in and now there seems to be other interested parties. If Swann had wanted to sell surely he would and should have done by now, particularly as he has run all the debts up which are owed.

None of us has any idea what has been offered to Swann. Neither do we know what was demanded as part of any deal.
If you are expressing your opinion you should make it clear. It seems to me that you blame any delay on Swann (which may or may not be correct), but the reality is that you know nothing more than the rest of us.
Let’s just hope that any deal is completed as soon as possible.
January 14, 2023 at 9:34 pm #252785Well lets be very clear on this shall we III there is only one person who will or will not sell the club and decide when. It is SWANN. All our supporters know this.
January 14, 2023 at 9:52 pm #252786Make of this what you will. A post by Alan Hardy post match on twitter
Woking are decent. Was always going to be a tough afternoon. They aren’t one of teams that we need to take points against. We go again.
“They aren’t one of the teams that WE need to take points against”
Is he full of shite and posturing or is he close to a deal ?
I think there’s more of a chance they’ll have the money to buy it than Sharpe and Co will as they saved Notts County from a winding up order to buy them before they bit the dust.
I know it all went to shit thereafter but least him and the consortium had the funds to buy them in the first place !
January 14, 2023 at 10:57 pm #252796Googled Mr Hardy’s net worth just out of interest:
MR ALAN HARDY – ACTIVE – Director ID is 900436637 And address is Goverton … a total current liabilities of £3m and a total current net worth of £-874k.
If that is anywhere near the truth it answers your question WG
January 15, 2023 at 11:16 am #252840The Glazier’s bought man u with no money tata did the same with the steelworks, so long as someone will lend it’s not a problem.
January 15, 2023 at 11:50 am #252843Not often I agree with III & AWG but it’s speculation based upon… (insert theory here).
By the same argument NLI is entitled to his views, and as others have said we won’t know the truth until the whole sad saga has been played out.
I never thought Swann would agree to £3.5 million so anything’s still possible.
Many a twist and turn yet to come methinks!
