Chorley just lost in added on time to South Shields.
That’s their game in hand down the Swanee!
Excellent result which once again puts our second place finish back into our own hands, Chester getting beat didn’t do us any harm either. Brackley continue to be very strong and Tamworth are just ploughing on to title glory, what a season they have had.
Richie Bennett did is a right favour scoring for Southport !
Aye, getting the winner against Chester is something our current team couldn’t manage!
So after last night Brackley enter the top 4 admittedly played 1 game more and a few points behind but situations can change badly very quickly with a couple of back to back defeats. Need a brave manager who is attack minded from now on.

Does that mean we need a new manager or are you suggesting a change in mentality for JD ?
My deluded hope that Tamworth bottle it and we catch up is still mathematically possible !
Next Saturday Chorley Boston and Alfreton Brackley. Hopefully draws and we pull away but only if we get something v Warrington who are in a bit of form – aside from disastrous loss to GC!
Second – guess we don’t have to improve too much to finish as Champions next season?
Recommended reading for the staff would be Sir Clive Woodward and his incremental marginal gains.
Recommended for the staff – get a new manager.
