Looks like no one gives a toss then?
May 8, 2021 at 1:15 pm #206507Swann take note.
Does not bode well for support next season…if there is one.May 8, 2021 at 1:17 pm #206509Nope, players can’t be ars*d so I can’t neither.

May 8, 2021 at 1:21 pm #206510We are showing as much interest as the players have over the last few months….
May 8, 2021 at 1:56 pm #206518May 8, 2021 at 2:10 pm #206519You were Pretty interested last week Daz you forked out £20 to watch Barrows and Bradfords game, but I suppose you had a change of underwear and can be quite blasé about today’s game.
May 8, 2021 at 2:29 pm #206521The line up for the last match is both laughable and terrifying in equal measure. I would say 2 maybe 3 are league two standard.
These are the players we have for next year. Beestin Spence doesn’t work (Spence isn’t all that by the way – one good match in 10).
Howe on loan off back – why play him? ( because Rowe isn’t good enough)
Green pace nothing else
Hippolyte – shit
Howard – too old
McAtee ??? couldn’t be arsed until realised
nobody was coming in for him
Loft – very poor
McGahey – off
Taft – been abysmal but most likely injured
O’Malley plays with passion and great left foot puts it on a sixpence for loft to control with his shinMay 8, 2021 at 2:35 pm #206522The Howe signing has baffled me all along, I just don’t get it.
I think Howard has got a pretty easy ride, he’s made some atrocious errors this season, last week he nearly cost us a point right at the end of the season.
O’Malley has plenty of promise but defensively he’s got a lot to learn. There are some components of a good team in there but not enough of them.

May 8, 2021 at 2:40 pm #206523May 8, 2021 at 2:47 pm #206524Noticeable omissions are Gillead, Eisa, van Veen and Watson, with Karacan on a six man bench that KDT and Mooney can’t even get on!
Does this tell us who’s on their way out?
Is Onariase injured again?
Do some of these players actually exist?
All very strange.

May 8, 2021 at 2:53 pm #206525Interesting team selection.
No sign of KVV, Gilliead & Eisa who we all expect to be away, but McGahey plays. Do we read anything in to that?
Howe & Howard? Manager still undecided?
Beestin & Spence play to determine how much we need to offer Karacan?
McAtee is surely in the last chance saloon, has he realised that his best chance of a contract could be here? Does he care?
More questions than answers – sorry!2 users thanked author for this post.
May 8, 2021 at 2:56 pm #206527No apathy in the relegation battle of the championship, wow twist and turns highs and lows that’s why watch football, and as fans, to be robbed of the opportunity to be at those games criminal, would have been a full house at Derby, weds would have took as many as were permitted and Rotherham would have took a few thousand to cardiff, can’t say how many Wycombe would have taken, iPlayer can’t match up to been there.
May 8, 2021 at 2:57 pm #206528Onaraise hernia op – played on with it for a few games.
Cox would rather name a reduced bench then put a youngster in (I thought two had signed professional contracts)
So with 5 or 6 new players we still won’t have a decent squad.

May 8, 2021 at 4:55 pm #206531Well another terrific nil Neil! Still as long as you’re disappointed and the players in the dressing room are hurting then I suppose us supporters should be satisfied.

May 8, 2021 at 5:07 pm #206533Wouldn’t have wanted any other result than we got today. Why add a bit of polish to a turd of a season, fresh start next season UTI.
May 8, 2021 at 5:12 pm #206534Poor goal conceded but Howard not challenging. Four steps off his line and a moderate punch would have surely done the trick.
Even so, plenty of indifferent defending in front of him in the build up.I would have liked to have seen Beestin tried in the number 10 role he seems to crave.
May 8, 2021 at 5:17 pm #206535Thankfully this wretched season is finally over and we ended up losing more games then any other team in the division. Small consolation, we didn’t need the point at Bradford last week after all, dread to think what’s coming our way next season but I’ve got a pretty good idea.

No it doesn’t your still moaning as you will next season and the season after that
May 8, 2021 at 5:33 pm #206538So endeth the worst season in the clubs history, and I have seen all 70 of them, once again it was hapless, boring, clueless, effortless defensive rubbish, making it 5 games since we scored a single goal, and the clueless clown is still the manager, we did manage a couple of backpass type shots during the 95 mins. It would certainly take a real die hard to contemplate renewing their season ticket, never mind even thinking of remaining a supporter of this team, because things are probably going to get even worse next season, and with Cox and Junior Swann selecting the new players, god help us.
HOWARD—5—Nothing much to do, I hope he manages to get a club for next season.
O’MALLEY—5—The winger gave him the run around, along with some poor crossews and corners.
TAFT—5—Not one of his better games, early subbed.
McGAHEY—5—Probably his last iron game, he is obviously not fit and carrying an injury.
HOWE–5—Not a good game, and some terrible crosses.
BEESTIN–7—My mom TODAY, BUT THAT IS NOT SAYING A LOT.
hippolyite–3—Another terrible game for him, what does he do to convince Cox to select him.
SPENCE—6—DAid his best, but in a very poor team, set up not to play to win.
GREEN—4—Needs to get some studs in his boots, spends most of the time on the floor.
McATEE—5—He can pl;ay a lot better than this, probably given up playing to Cox system.
LOFT–3—Ran and ran and ran, but did absolutely nothing, cannot control any bals.SUBS—4—Almost a waste of space, Rowe can only pass a ball backwards, even when behind.
REF—8—-Once again a good ref, we have had good refs in our last five or six games, but the football has been shite in them all.
SUMMARY—-Good luck to anyone that continues to follow this team next season, after 70 years, I for one has had enough, and with the prospects of Cox in charge next season, there is only one direction to go, and that is to join Grimsby Town.
PREDICTION LEAGUE—-Conngratulations to Toney, who has outplayed the rest of us this season and won the league by 50 points, and well done MistertonMick who came with a late run to pip me into second place, I maintained my record of ending in the top four for all of my six seasons in the league, well done guys.

May 8, 2021 at 5:52 pm #206541making it 5 games since we scored a single goal
Correct! And only three goals in the last ten games of the season (and two of them were in the FGR match).
So 8/10 games with no Iron goals. Surely that must be the worst ever run we’ve had. It’s incredible to think two teams were actually worse than us!
Absolutely shocking!

May 8, 2021 at 5:53 pm #206543Again their keeper didn’t have a serious save to make, poor performance and no fight to try to win the game, Les I don’t know what Howard could have done with the goal seeing the defender missed it he didn’t have time to react.

Oh dear snore man at least you refrained from abuse but everyone knows what’s coming next this will be interestingMay 8, 2021 at 7:49 pm #206559I largely agree with BS.
But the ref gave too many free kicks for non-fouls and he owes Stevenage a penalty, I reckon.
Thought Green was ‘a curate’s egg’ – good in parts. I struggle to give him less than average.May 8, 2021 at 11:22 pm #206579making it 5 games since we scored a single goal

\And even more incredible is thatthere has never been any suggestion from Swann, that the manager would be bladdered, even though Swann has sacked six or seven better managers than the present clueless clown. Entertainment and enjoyment has completely been eliminated from the SUFC under this defensive clown, and he is still here!!!!!!!!

Thought Green was ‘a curate’s egg’ – good in parts. I struggle to give him less than average. So do you mean that Green was like an egg, because he could not manage to keep up without falling over, yes you are correct Les, maybe a very large eggcup could be provided for him ha ha!, or better still leave him on the bench.
May 9, 2021 at 10:03 am #206590There is another way to go BS and that is up the league, try to be a bit more positive. Just take a look at Stevenage they would have been relegated last year if not for Bury dropping out the league and Maccs point deduction they were worse than even what we’ve been this season, but they’ve come back and ended mid table, so why should we be any different?.
