I realise the site has to be careful, especially in these fraught times. I have said all I need to regarding my own levels of trust in the ownership, and will leave it at that for tonight. Hopefully something can be salvaged from this mess. Starting with a win tonight, hopefully.

Doesn’t tell us what we don’t already know, yes the club is in a financial mess and yes measures need putting in place to address the situation long term but we have to keep waiting for any real detail. Their support for DH is a given under the present circumstances, we wouldn’t expect anything else publicly TBH, it’s wait and see time folks, as usual.

I read the statement as a doubling down and an attempt to shore up a pretty weak position with an impression of determination to carry on.

Fair enough, but personally I think a period of silence would be welcome from the leadership. Actions not words are what counts. Either the resources exist to face down the CCJs, winding up order, debts, or they don’t.

Only time will tell us what the real picture is.

The reality from DHs final statement earlier in the week – “We have no home, as the previous owner refuses to now negotiate and demands vacant possession, and prior to that refused to accomodate a standard conveyancing process.”

Oh, didn’t notice the link had been shared on this thread too. As I said on the other thread, I think this statement is welcome (as opposed to silence) and look forward to hearing more about their plans in the coming weeks. Also welcome because many fans can’t, don’t or won’t rely on social media for updates.

It will Be interesting to see where further cuts can made, especially off the field which can’t be far off a part time operation as it stand.

Some posters on here have questioned how sustainable this team is, and by the figures released by Hilton this week, the answer is, not very. Taking a rough average of our income for home gates, we are in a deficit of anywhere from 50-100k per month which is being covered by Hilton. That’s just the wage bill too.

Either crowds swell to 5,500 per game or there’s going to be choppy waters ahead for HMS pisstheleague.
