If it goes in our favour there’ll be plenty of Hand Solos.

Im just hoping Whitehall doesnt go Daft Vadar n get sent off in next 2 games ..i take it suspensions carry over and he would miss the playoffs .. he was close to marching against Hereford going by Gareths Ironarmy vlog.

Really surprised he didn’t get his second yellow card of the match for that incident – so, for me, the ref being really sensible / lenient has completely balanced out the penalty that wasn’t given a few matches ago that there was all that furore about.

Football karma with ref decisions, how it always has been at our levels.

It comes down to this now for Star Wars Day: Beat Blyth Spartans at home and Gloucester away and we finish second whatever the other teams do. Then win 2 home games against 2 from this list of : Brackley, Chorley, South Shields, Alfreton, Curzon, Chester or Boston.
If we can’t win these 4 fixtures then we’ll deservedly stay down another season.
I look at our squad and we should do it. Hopefully the players now understand the officiating, shithouse opposition players, negative tactics and just do a pro job on whoever we face.

Looking at our healthy goal difference we can probably afford to draw one of the last two and still finish 2nd regardless of other results (Chorley would need a big +15 goal swing in their favour).

Hopefully, teams that like to spike our guns with negativity are gonna be a bit stressed when they have to play to win!

That’s actually a really valid point. How many teams have we seen that have been set up as negative, to frustrate our play? You’d expect a couple of one-off ‘winner takes all’ kind of games to be much more open, I think..?

Lets not forget Brackley are in the best current form in the top 7 places of the table and more so they have already done us in a winner takes all FA cup encounter earlier in the season when arguably in worse form then they are now.

Hoping JD gives Corbett a start this Saturday.

OH and PLEASE no stupid sendings off or unnecessary injury risks as both could cost us for the playoffs.

We could leave Butterfield, out for Beestin. Whitehall out for Elliot and play Corbett for Roberts and we’ll beat Blyth. They’re on a terrible run. More than enough quality with those replacements to best those shitters. 20 in the form table and have lost the last 3.

Beestin, Elliot and Corbett have more than enough quality.

Nah, field the strongest line up possible and get the job done. Substitute them if and when necessary to save their legs.

I agree that would be the best approach but even sitting them out we’ll win !

Indeed i think JD should start his strongest 11 and sub early if things go well to protect against injury and silly red cards , also this Lincs cup final fixture isnt at the best time…

WGs i wished i shared your optimism and IMO Blyth wont be the push over you and it seems many other fans are predicting yhey desperately need a win to avoid relegation

over the years supporting Scunny ive learned to expect the unexpected.

Well desperately needing a win to avoid relegation is similar to desperately needing a win to reach the playoffs and we know how that worked out for Hereford. Really hope Blyth comes and have a proper go at us it’s exactly what we want to happen.

Blyth (or one of those teams around them) could end up being relegated with 50+ points!

    Bloody tough luck on them.

WGs i wished i shared your optimism

I know they need a win but they’re a poor side, 20th in the form table and lost the last 3. I think confidence will be high after the comeback against Hereford and we real strength in depth now all the players are nearly fit.

Strongest team tomorrow. If we win then make protective changes at Gloucester.

Well one team are going to be relegated with 50+ points to cover all bases for us I hope it’s Blyth and not Farsley.
