Having not posted for a while, I’ve just noted the nice new features available when constructing a post.
How big will this seasons squad be do you think?
I only ask as my Spanish club are limited to a squad of
-
25 players – 18 open age players plus 7 U23s
… as are every club in the league in which they play – which is the Primera Federación; the 3rd tier in Spanish football.
Is this a better and fairer system than the free for all that exists in England?

lol This is definitely a parody account. I’ll play along Rene, who’s your Spanish Club of choice, Barcelona, Real Madrid,, Atletico ?
July 6, 2024 at 2:10 pm #287703Do any of them play in the Spanish 3rd tier? I must have missed their spectacular implosion of so, especially since they managed to qualify for European football pretty much every season.
July 6, 2024 at 3:06 pm #287710Rene has mentioned following Spanish football in the past WG, possibly even living there, relying on streamed or radio commentary etc. So no, it’s not a parody account, Bad Apple, etc, etc

Typical WG only reading the first two lines of a post before jumping in with a load of nonsense. You’ve been caught with your pants down again WonderBalls!
July 6, 2024 at 4:18 pm #287714Rules are fine as long as clubs play by them!

July 7, 2024 at 10:34 am #287730Hopefully bigger than the non playing one.
July 7, 2024 at 10:59 am #287738A smaller squad supplimented by loans from higher up clubs.
At the moment we have a decent “Spine”
In goal Fitzsimmons
At the back Kouougon/Evans
Midfield Clunan/Law
Up front WhitehallNext priority is another forward imo.

July 7, 2024 at 4:45 pm #287747Arrr squad size ??? the squad can be as big or small as necessary it all depends on
Who controls , chooses signings?
how they are trained ,managed and instructed to play both positionaly n tactically
the players ability and mindset to perform. So far IMO .. we are looking like a pretty average NLN bunch AT THE MOMENT ,, things may change my opinion in the next week or so but into July should be more activity.
July 7, 2024 at 5:06 pm #287752Nothing To do with faith imo just the fact if we’re going to play 2 up top we need some back up.

Another very quiet week down at AAGP on the signings front. Maybe we’re waiting to end of July to save a months wages? Times are hard!
July 12, 2024 at 3:02 pm #288039Did Butler get his transfer targets? Are these the guys that have already signed or are they yet to arrive?
July 12, 2024 at 4:28 pm #288047Time will probably tell.
July 12, 2024 at 4:31 pm #288048I think the targets were those already signed. The most recent update regards signings was Lee Turnbull’s interview a week or so ago and he seemed to indicate any more signings would come from the trialists plus a few loans. With Butlers connections at Doncaster I could see us taking a few players on loan from them.

Spot on. Butler hinted that was case too. I wouldn’t disappointed if we signed our two ex youth players who wouldn’t cost a lot, along with Hunter and Rowley who both looked very good.
Rowley can play in a few different positions as is the same with Hunter. Burden can play all across the front line and Abraham looks a capable young CB which we’re going to need if we set up with 3 CB’s.
Butler maybe wants to see them a few more times to be fully sure before pulling the trigger.
