Sick of to this lot. Center backs that that are huge yet nobody fears them and they have little mobility .
Our captain, totally useless failed to inspire last season and abysmal now. Perhaps he’s a better accountant ironic given who signed him.
Star striker who treats games like he’s auditioning for 3 Stooges films, he gives the opposition a far too easy time, very little effort goes into his game which costs the whole team. In fact the only discomfort they may feel is a slightly parched keeper.1 user thanked author for this post.

Said before about the CB’s, especially Evans is they’re too nice “as a lot of our players are” for this level. Shrimpton last week should have gone for the ball and if needed through the ref for it, but instead far too nice.
Nicholson doesn’t want to be anywhere near the CB starting spots at the minute, minus his huge throw he’s an absolute car crash. Scales is piss weak to be played in CM as a two and Clunan often get’s barged straight off the ball. Far too lightweight.

November 9, 2024 at 10:39 pm #293530Denton Evans koughoun barrows
Combative midfielder Beestin Carlton Roberts
Whitehall new striker
4-4-2
Dispense with Cluinan he is too interested in stats and complete passes so he slows play down1 user thanked author for this post.
November 10, 2024 at 2:54 am #293537I still think Beestin and Brogan would do fine in CM as both a decent size, but Brogan doesn’t appear to be one of Butler favourites.
November 10, 2024 at 9:14 am #293547Okay, our long throw expert’s passing skills as a CB really worry me.
But to be fair, the demands on CBs who receive precious little help from CM in front of them leads to … well … what we’ve got at the moment. We must use this (fairly) dead fortnight to reconstitute the side. We could then be very pleasantly surprised what currently failing players could do in a more sensible system.
It’s been said many times but we are playing two FBs as WBs. Both are better FBs.
A change there would surely give us an instant defensive improvement.November 10, 2024 at 9:29 am #293550He’s not changing the formation.

November 10, 2024 at 10:05 am #293556I really don’t understand this issue people have with trying to differentiate between fullbacks and wingbacks.I personally expect full backs in a 4-4-2 to vecapable of going past the midfield and putting a ball in.Footballers nowadays are far too micromanaged
November 10, 2024 at 10:15 am #293560Death by micromanagement. I see there are some sites that track expected assists to go along with the other dubious stat in expected goals.
November 10, 2024 at 10:29 am #293564It’s ridiculous,to have holding players and attacking players in midfield for instance, as for Number 10s ,what a snidey ambition to be one of those
November 10, 2024 at 10:48 am #293573It’s a false 9 now. I have seen articles saying Bergkamp is the best false 9 in history. I always thought of him as a centre-forward, but now he’s been changed to fit modern terminology.
If we have expected goals and expected assists, why not expected headers, expected tackles, expected offsides, expected passes and expected bites (for Suarez)? Coaches could run wild with using this to give evidence of the success of their ‘philosophies’ and use stats to make it seem like they’re achieving something.
We could implement expected flops to the floor and expected finger points to optimise when and how Whitehall falls over and Clunan points to other players.
November 10, 2024 at 10:57 am #293582It’s not only the team that are spineless, a lot of the fanbase are. You’d think we had missed promotion altogether given some of the reactions.
Still a long way to go to change things around and put things right.
November 10, 2024 at 11:15 am #293589Yes along way to go but since his extension nothing has changed and does not look like it will change anytime soon. We are three points behind and teams around us have games in hand. Yesterday we showed thatbwe can be good going forward pity it didn’t happen until added time, when it was too late to retrieve the situation. Time is not on our side!!.
