March 12, 2024 at 9:17 am #282652Wow Rene proper memory lane stuff and it certainly dates me as I remember us having a Magic Robot game back in my childhood. I’m guessing cass, Mick, les and a few more are remembering the game too, not forgetting Awaywego of course.

Why on earth were you expecting that?

March 25, 2024 at 7:20 am #283078Rain most of today in Spennymoor.
Maybe a pitch inspection a bit earlier than 19:00 this time?
March 26, 2024 at 1:29 am #283102JD just has to go for it .. hopefully more options going forward with Corbett on from the start n Roberts off the bench ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ..could be a few goals in this one just hope Scunny score one more than SPM…IMO IF can win tonight its down to 8 points and Tamworth may get the jitters .. anything other than a win and its done n dusted, just our luck to be meeting SPM in a dodgy called rearranged fixture when they are on a unbeaten run with a couple of their best players now available…pleased that young loanee lad Shrimpton cant play hopefully be a big miss for them.
If its not called off AGAIN
Prediction is 3-2 (either way)March 26, 2024 at 11:57 am #283105I have a feeling that we will get beat tonight, I do not like the idea of us losing at this point of the season, when we are in a good place of getting second spot which would be great in the end of season play offs.
PREDICTION SPENYMOOR 2 SCUNTHORPE 1
March 26, 2024 at 2:24 pm #283109Comfortable 3-0 away win tonight.
March 26, 2024 at 3:49 pm #283113No chance!
I’m going and I’ve not seen a “comfortable” win in years.
3-1 Moors!
March 26, 2024 at 4:45 pm #2831153-2 Scunny Roberts and 2 for Whitehall
March 26, 2024 at 7:46 pm #283125Roberts starting, hope it’s not too soon after injury, come on Iron.

March 26, 2024 at 9:50 pm #283139And the latest to be red carded is… the manager
As the saying goes, we have a manager, and he’s going nowhere!March 26, 2024 at 10:03 pm #283142Can’t blame Dean for that tonight. A mixture of bad luck, shite ref and a lax goalkeeper cost us.
Only slight gripe about Dean is choosing Clunan as an advanced midfielder. Wouldn’t playing Clarke there be a better idea ?
March 26, 2024 at 10:04 pm #283143You can’t blame the manager for tonight. We played well, the referee and fitsimmons are to blame for today’s result

March 26, 2024 at 10:50 pm #283146I am sorry to say that I forcasted Scunny to lose tonight, but after saying that, they should have walloped Spenymoor.
Another blunder by the clown hander them the points in a game that we should have won m but all the tiimes we had the many chances, we shot straight at their keeper, and twice hitting theur woodwork and a good goal ruled out, the ref was terrible and also cost us the points. This result hits our chances of that vital second place in the play offs, which is vital for our chances, and puts pressure on us, so we need to win on Friiday and hope that Chorly and Brackley drop points.March 26, 2024 at 11:53 pm #283150Like a bloody Ted Lasso script!
Four games in the NE. One point out of twelve to show for it!
March 27, 2024 at 12:49 am #283152That ref tonight was absolutely appalling. I’m still confused at what he thought he saw. Butterfield was about a yard away from their keeper who palms it into his own goal and he blows for the foul.
What the hell was he watching ?
March 27, 2024 at 5:49 am #283154Manager of the Month (February)
He’ll be adding March to that.
March 27, 2024 at 7:25 am #283158A very knowledgeable gent of my acquaintance wants Fitzsimons dropped for the next match.
We argued about this for quite a while during the game after the latest piece of insanity. With a handful of games left – the thought of a junior GK in for critical matches pressed my panic buttons.
But not too long after the goal was conceded we had yet more evidence that Fitz does not learn anything from experience – there were several more instances of crazy play.
Alright then. Go on. Drop him! If losing us the game singlehanded does not fettle him – what else can be done?
All his great keeping is wiped away by his wild extravagance. I keep thinking we have a Grobbelaar in our midst. Only more so!
The refs in NLN may be shocking – but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the standards of goalkeeping. So many great keepers in that division. Well – think how many have thwarted us!
He’s expensive. Let him go. I am longing for a GK who does the right things and has just a bit of flair. Such a man need not cost the earth.
21 clean sheets could have been – perhaps – 27. ???March 27, 2024 at 7:59 am #283160What a few days it’s been for the club
Holding a meet and greet in a Car Showroom, a defeat and embarassing Social Media posts
The “Banter Era” never seems to stop.
March 27, 2024 at 9:06 am #283163Would many keepers, at any level, have made the save Fitz did from that header les?

March 27, 2024 at 9:23 am #283168Watched Pickford’s faux-pas when I got back.
Happens at International level too. If he’d done it in the home game it wouldn’t have mattered. At 0-0 it’s a different story.
March 27, 2024 at 10:13 am #283177…Holding a meet and greet in a Car Showroom…
Irrelevant that it was a car showroom. The room was cleared and it was a good-sized space and shape for a really enjoyable event.
