Hi Spennysupporters good news for you the match is definitely on next Tuesday at Glanford Park. Great news for our supporters and we are in negotiations with Peter Swann to buy our stadium.
October 18, 2023 at 4:33 pm #275565Hi All, Glad to see the game is on! Busses are booked, so see you next week in the bar!
Hopefully this gives you a bit more time to get it resolved in the next week or 2.
Cheers

October 19, 2023 at 11:23 am #275592does anyone have an update re the injury list and how some are progressing including Jimmy .. i did see Jason Law in the training images… the likes of Clunan , Beestin, Kouogun etc oh and Cal Roberts but i reckon hes a while of yet.
October 19, 2023 at 4:17 pm #275626Why the removal of the thread “Thank you Peter Swann” why not just an offensive post if there was one, don’t like the censorship. Are posters not allowed to praise or criticize our previous owner, ordo we have to tread on eggshells now.
October 19, 2023 at 5:18 pm #275634Perhaps the mods think Peter is so childish that he won’t sell the club their ground back if he gets criticised on here.
Surely not.

October 19, 2023 at 5:48 pm #275636Perhaps the tuther side was right in calling Bru sycophant to Swanny.
October 22, 2023 at 11:28 am #275731Well unless Spennymoor have a last minute selling spree on tickets it would appear that “spennysupporters” was feeding us a load of bollocks they’ve only sold 21 in total so far not even enough to fill the 34 seater coach they HAVE booked and there was NLI believing every word from him, could do without visitors to Bru spouting shite we’ve can and do do that ourselves.
October 23, 2023 at 2:30 pm #275765i have a feeling that the team are slipping up right now, and according to some reports, a few players are not puuting a lot of effort into their performances.
So although the team tend to play better in home games (apart from the Buxton match), I am going for a forcast of:-
SCUNTHORPE 0 SPENNYMOOR 2.3,743 ATTENDANCE Reflected by the poor showing on Saturday.
These two home matches this week could well be a big pointer on what chances they have on getting out of this League, six points and a lot more fight from some players would be welcome to our long suffering fans.
October 23, 2023 at 4:43 pm #275769I’m going for a 2-0 home win, some arse kicking will have been done after Saturday and the shape they played in the Chester game will have gone IMO.

Agree with most of that , be interested to know the players that appear to have lost the will to fight seen a few comments relating to this lack of effort by some.. yes lots still going on off the field but being professionals shouldnt be the case. Possibly some had other clubs lined up if the club had breached the 14 day salary non payment (which they didnt as i believe everyone was paid) leading some to loose interest possibly.
As for a prediction … praying for a home win ..alas
1-1
Att 3,334The easiest way to pack the park is by winning games n playing free flowing attacking football .. something we just arent seeing at the moment and havent for a few weeks since Scarboro at home which coincides with both the worst of the injuries and the extra DH turmoil re outing by the Athletic salaries and the ground court case.

The way the players celebrated after the Brackley win would suggest otherwise
October 24, 2023 at 11:34 am #275782A very laid back Danny Whitehall ..IMO one who needs to put a proper shift in tonight now Elliot is out
October 24, 2023 at 12:19 pm #275783or maybe, just maybe most of us bought/ are buying tickets this morning.
You know, its not the football league any more, most of us just pay on the gate…. and if you must know there’s a 51 seater full and about 25 on a 34 seater.
Anything else you would like to know…

October 24, 2023 at 12:35 pm #275784Yes,what score do you think it will be?

Yes, this is one to bear in mind. We’ve always been able to pay on the gate at Spennymoor, Blyth, the Heed or wherever.
In fact I can’t decide whether to pre-order tickets for Blyth or wait till we get there!
Any club at this level turning away punters because they haven’t got tickets in advance is cutting it’s own throat!
October 24, 2023 at 2:32 pm #275787Cutting its nose off to spite its face!
What me mam would have said…October 24, 2023 at 2:35 pm #275789Your squad – formation – tactics etc could be useful? :)

Cracking prediction
October 26, 2023 at 12:43 am #275896No one is correct all the time Steve, in fact I sometimes get it wrong ha ha!, but I enjoyed watching the game pal, and was very pleased to be wrong on this occasio.
If you want a correct forcast this Saturday it will be Scunny 4 Bishop Storford 0.
Attendance 4,229. Hope that I am correct this time Steve ???? what do you predict pal.
October 26, 2023 at 10:13 am #275910Just a word to spennysupporters. Just ignore what Awaywego had to say to you. Your club means as much to you and your fans who travelled on Tuesday to support your team. Yes you are a much smaller club but that does not excuse him being so disrespectful to you and your fans. Best wishes for the rest of the season and thank you for travelling to Glanford Park.
October 26, 2023 at 10:43 am #275914Wasn’t being disrespectful to their fans they were a credit to their team, just the one who came on here spouting shite.
October 27, 2023 at 9:02 am #275940Awaywego spennysupporter wasn’t
spouting rubbish, he was asking questions and even said if we were collecting then he would have organised collections on their coaches to help our Club. Supporters like him deserve respect.October 27, 2023 at 10:24 am #275943Look NLI in my first post I was more than welcoming, in yours you ask why he Spennymoor had more information than us that’s where the shite was and you were took in by him, not from a question he’d asked, then in a further post you back him up again by saying why should Spennymoor know while our fans are kept in the dark, that’s where the shite was, and to be fair to spennysupporters i could have left it at my first post but when you come on backing and believing his shite bit of the post with misinformation on it and you spreading it and obviously causing decision else me and you wouldn’t still be going on about it.then taking an interest on what he had said I eent on their supporters club page and saw they had booked a 34 seater coach not he 2 he had said, and unless on Tuesday a second coach arrived late only one was there at 7pm.

Before the match I said another 6… with them being second bottom and leaking lots of goals, consolation ruined it for me.
