Theres nothing to big up.What we’ve got is a manager who can only coach a team to try and avoid defeat, players who cant pass, control or even head a ball under presure and a chairman who thinks he’s allways right. God help us next season when the teams below us gave gone to the national graveyard.

March 21, 2021 at 10:34 am #203727that’s if we don’t go on a run like 2 years ago and replace one of them.

March 21, 2021 at 10:39 am #203728Seemed to me that the players had all read the Bru post revealing their (supposed) wages. Enough of them believed what they saw and showed, in their performances, what they thought. Some of those at the top end who are OOC will have to accept the reality of the situation brought about by Covid and prepare to adjust their lifestyle.

March 21, 2021 at 1:31 pm #203733Wow, if the players believe anything on this board and take it to heart, they really are stupid.

March 21, 2021 at 9:49 pm #203738The real problem is that Sarfend showed us that gorgeous, old-time fourth division football.
They were only interested in closing us down and giving us no room to move – which they did very well. They stopped the prospect of any footballing skills being able to be used. Their one mindset was to be destructive.
Sadly we did not seem capable of coping with a side whose tactics were that negative and so, whenever we won possession, out came the big hoof upfield.
I truly hope that they do not gain another point this season.
Let us have them out of the league! – Bye bye. Good riddance.
Urgh. Nasty!lesgeo—–I cannot agree my friend, you say that Southend stopped us playing football and hoofed the ball upfield throughout, that was exactly what we were doing ourselves, and if Southend are so good at stopping teams playing, why are they sitting at the bottom of the League???
The game was a terrible match, and in my opinion Southend put more effort into it than we did, the truth is that both teams are bloody crap.
Just look at the stats, Scunthorpe had ONE SHOT ON TARGET.
Scunthorpe had TWO CORNERS IN THE GAME.
sOUTHEND HAD two shots on target.
Southend had ONE CORNER THROUGHOUT THE MATCH.So the combined total shots on target was THREE.
The total combined corners in the game was THREE.Does that not tell its own storey, and Cox said before the game “THAT WE WILL ATTACK THEM”, maybe he was making reference to Clarks stupidity and not the football side of things, I am sorry to say, but if Cox stays next season, supporters will just stay away, we want entertaining , and to enjoy attending.
I can say for sure that if I had been at GP yesterday, I would have left by 70 mins at most, ptobably along with a few others.

You’ve misread Les’s post, BS.
He said whenever WE gained possession out came the by if hoof upfield.
Not Southend.
They just closed us down for the point they got.March 22, 2021 at 10:02 am #203743Wow, if the players believe anything on this board and take it to heart, they really are stupid.
They should believe lesgeo’s post above and do something about it. Failing to do that would be really stupid.
March 22, 2021 at 11:59 am #203745I’m just being realistic Cass, in the world of the egotistical footballer, they aren’t going to come on here and listen to what all us lot spout, they don’t give a flying f*** about what us lot say it’s just between us. It’s about as relevant as badge kissing and doing it for the fans, the majority of em IMO just see it as a decent career for a short time and earn as much as possible. I must admit I don’t blame them either, if someone outside of my workplace with no practical working knowledge in that industry came on a forum and told me what to do and how to act at work,I would ignore them too.
March 22, 2021 at 12:50 pm #203746I suppose it’s a matter of personal make up I-a. If you take pride in your work then it’s good if you feel your work is appreciated. As you say we’re talking about footballers here who are often praised but seldom criticised publicly except by us “know-it-all experts”. Little wonder they take no notice, but I still think the money issue might make them think a bit whether it’s accurate or not.
March 22, 2021 at 1:22 pm #203747Some of them are crap and don’t have the required skill set others just can’t be bothered and some are both however I think all of them will get quite a shock when contracts are due as they will be either out the door or due to the effects of covid offered much less money. I’m sure there will be many players looking for new clubs come the end of the season and some of our players will struggle to find a national league club, if they do have the skills now is the time they should be show casing them. It seems the way some of them are performing at present that they don’t realize what’s coming down the line!
