I hope we continue from the last 20 minutes of Tuesdays game on the front foot, let’s get safe and don’t get dragged down to the bottom of the league again, I hope McAtee get’s a start after his cameo on Tuesday and hopefully 3 points.

Win this game and we can definitely plan for life in L2 again next year. Lose and we’re back looking over our shoulders

Sarfend haven’t scored in 5 and in 3 of those games it finished 0-0.

    1-0 either way.

Don’t know how they keep clean sheets with Cordner playing, we had difficulty. Surely we learned enough to exploit his weaknesses and score a few.

It’s a game we should really win and we are playing so much better as a team since we went down there in December and lost in a miserable display. The games we have lost since we beat Grimsby have been to better teams we should probably lose to anyway this season but we have picked up some good wins and of late good draws against sides we could have lost too prior to Xmas. I’m looking for us to bang another nail into the Southend coffin tomorrow and keep ourselves looking upward.

Since we went down there in December we have both achieved 24pts, so nothing between us there, having not scored in 5 we’re bound to let at least one in,its just what we do, a score draw would be ok with me.

We’re already safe. The only thing to play for now is next season.

We looked like we should easily have been safe in League 1 a couple of years ago at this stage of the season and we all know how that ended.

Over 50 years of the Iron does make you cynical but I will be a lot happier if we put 14 points between us and the relegation places.

Just been out walking with my lad. I said, “we should beat Southend tomorrow, shouldn’t we?”

    “Hmmm!” Was his reply.

Beestin has touched the ball 6 times and passed it straight out 4 times. Shocking all round.

one of the most tactically inept heartless displays of many this season. I’m sorry but where the hell do we think we’re going with this squad of cheap footballers

Awful all round. Clarke should be embarrassed at getting caught up like that with his experience. Dieng should be thoroughly ashamed of his pathetic reaction. Refs seen the shove it’s a red and a penalty what did he gain by rolling around like a little bitch acting like he’d been punched in the face?

Thanks god we got the equaliser giving away 6 points to such an awful team would’ve been a disgrace. Not that it was much above that anyway.

I can see why they don’t score goals. Worst game of the season.

    Just two wirds—-Bloody Rubbish.

No shots on target in 99 minutes.

HOWARD–4–Two bad errorswent unpunished, hiskicking gets worse if possible.
    BROWN—6—Acceptable.
BEDEAU—6—Played ok, but too much big boot.
BEESTIN–4—Had a terrible game but scored our goal, how did he get 90 mins???
ROWE–4—His worse game for Scunny, far too many stray passes
GILLIAD–7—Had some good runs but has played better.
KARACAN—8—My MOM, HE IS A CLASS PLAYER.
CLARKE—6—Was having a good game until falling for the three card trick by a cheeting twat.
GREEN—3—How does he get selected before other better players???
KVV—6—Ran about a lot, worked hard, but finishing was not good.
LOFT—4—No treat at all, ball control is terrible.

REF—5— Apart from that terrible penalty he gave Southend, did ok other wise, but he could not be the blame of a terrible match.

COX—3—Terrible team selection and playing system, let Southend shade the game because of Coxes defensive tactics, this was against a team that had not scored a goal for six matches, our only pluss sign is that we do not have to sit in the ground watching this tripe. I expected four half time changes after that first half crap, but same team came back out for another 18 mins before a change.

Very, very poor days viewing for Scunny fans.

Terrible performance and almost felt embarrassed when we equalised. Not that Southend were much better mind.

Just don’t know why we were lacking all over today- Grimsby aside we have really struggled against the poorer teams.

A lot of work to be done in the summer.

No shots on target in 99 minutes yet Beestin scored a goal? Very odd.

Rubbish players, rubbish game. Not much more to say than that really.

A well deserved point against the best team in the league! We completely dominated, probably the best ever opposition GK display we will ever see! Hopefully we can take all of that into Tuesdays game UTI

Howard 6 not much to do nearly got the penalty but all season his kicking has been garbage. Should leave end of season

Rowe 4 – poor passing today

Clarke 3 – would’ve got 5 but petulant reaction could’ve lost us the game. Should leave ens of season

Bedeau 5 – bang average, lucky first half when let ball bounce over him in penalty area

    Brown 5 – average

Gillead 5 – runs a lot but no end product for a couple of months now

Beestin 4 – OK he scored but the first half performance was one of the worst from a CM

Karacan 6 – best player for us but not saying much

Green 4 – can somebody at the club train him to take the football with him when he runs fast otherwise you may as well play Forrest Gump

KVV 4 – I believe he his sulking after being offered £700/wk contract. Looks like his mind is elsewhere now. Shame

Loft 4 – back to his ‘cannot control the ball’ best

Ref 6 – given a decision by Clarke and followed the rules could argue Red was harsh

Cox 3 – no plan B no intelligence no clue. He is young and learning but he really does not show me anything to suggest he has any chance of longevity in this career.

They were worse. We were awful but they are an appalling side.
The fairest result would’ve been 0 points each that’s what we both warranted today.

Still think it’s the worse team we’ve ever had and that includes the management team as well.

One of the worst football games I have ever seen, stupidly from Clarke but their player made it look worse, hard to pick a man of the match but the whole team looked if they had been told they had all got released at the end of the season and couldn’t be bothered, I also agree with Ironawes marks and don’t think it was the worst ref we have had, it is nice to get a late equaliser but not has good as on Tuesday.
Also do not accept we are safe yet and it makes you wonder if we didn’t play not to lose rather than take risks to win it.

Lads, lads, you just cannot criticise the team, manager or club like you are doing.
The forum six will come on crying and acting like little girls.

You need to big the whole debacle, sorry, set up, up.

Rather than touting your conspiracy theory (well BS’s originally-you and a few others have simply joined in like the sheep you profess not to be), I challenge you to name one poster of this mythical ‘6’ that doesn’t or hasn’t criticised the team, manager or club in recent years. Name one poster that bigs up ‘the whole debacle’.

Go on then alcy, no doubting it was a terrible game but Cox has been crucified by some over games this season for chopping and changing his side, sometimes 5 players at a time. Today he left things alone apart from one change, then after the game he said the team looked leggy and he blamed the Saturday/ Tuesday scenario finally catching up with the side. He also said he didn’t make wholesale changes prior to ko as he thought the team from Tuesday could still give him more. So, has he made a mistake by not making changes?, or if he had made changes yet the outcome had been similar would he have been criticised for making wholesale changes? I know it’s catch 22 stuff but it’s a case of damned if he does or damned if he doesn’t. The main thing is, whether the game was shite or not, it’s another point for consolidation, with Barrow, Grimsby and obviously Southend drawing we are still in a very good position compared to teams below us with one game less to play. Now we have seen the performance and the result is in ( hindsight ) what would the experts on this forum think Cox should have done team wise prior to kick off without hindsight? Not easy is it when people nail you whatever course you take team wise be it no change or too many changes. At least Cox admitted it was poor stuff and didn’t try and hide but what would the forum experts have done prior to ko team wise? Can’t wait for the expert views to come in.

I think today was more a case of player attitude and application than player selection and formation.

I suspect Cox is scratching his head like the rest of us.

After watching that crap attempt today, it is little wonder that supporters are very unhappy with the way that our team is playing, and how the tactics being used by management do not meet the fans standards, to be honnest, we have now had three or four years of this crap, and the team being set up not to lose, or at the same time set up not to wineither.

At the end of the day, Cox is in charge once the whistle blows, Mussa and Lillis are also with him, why the hell Mussa is there God knows, because also being the GK coach, we seem to have poor keepers that are being coached by him.

But after saying that, it really is Peter Swann that shou;d be sorting the football side of things, and also why some of the players are obviously not giving ant where near their best, and this rolls on week after week, and we can just about say season after season, but he does not even comment any more!!!!!

The real problem is that Sarfend showed us that gorgeous, old-time fourth division football.
They were only interested in closing us down and giving us no room to move – which they did very well. They stopped the prospect of any footballing skills being able to be used. Their one mindset was to be destructive.
Sadly we did not seem capable of coping with a side whose tactics were that negative and so, whenever we won possession, out came the big hoof upfield.
I truly hope that they do not gain another point this season.
Let us have them out of the league! – Bye bye. Good riddance.
    Urgh. Nasty!

There were so many basic errors – I saw the passing accuracy at half time at 49%. Anything under 65% is pretty shit but 49% come on! One shot on target against a side not having scored for 5 games. Somehow there are probably 3 worse teams than us this season. That won’t be the case next season.
