We were sold a puppy
Is that why he keeps scratching himself during interviews, maybe he needs worming?

3-1 ScunnyFebruary 20, 2024 at 4:13 pm #281409I’ve got a feeling we will win tonight, comfortably as well.
I’m going SS 1 vs 4 Scunny
As Les Dennis used to say:
“If it’s there, I’ll give you the money myself!”28/1
February 20, 2024 at 5:12 pm #281411It's half-term, no school nights, so why not bring the kids down to the 1st Cloud for a huge night in South Shields history!
Tickets for our game tonight are still on sale, an opportunity for young Mariners to enjoy a big game!#SSFC | #AlwaysReady https://t.co/tdL2KzRBSB

February 20, 2024 at 7:08 pm #281419Maybe injured, he was poor on Saturday though I hope Jimmy hasn’t binned him for one cameo performance.
February 20, 2024 at 8:50 pm #281423assume Tamworth losing was part of the plan so lets match them to ensure we stay down
February 20, 2024 at 8:57 pm #281424Another gift conceded with our keeper out of his goal, and our shooting is wayward
February 20, 2024 at 9:13 pm #281425Look how Chorley and Chester are doing

February 21, 2024 at 2:52 am #281455SS 1-0 Iron
You must know someone inside the club. Which few players are not interested? Can you name them please?
February 21, 2024 at 4:36 am #281456im basing my prediction on our totally crap current form and lack of fight n interest of a few of the players.. sadly 2-1 to SS
Sadly i nailed it … wtf is going on with the playing staff at the club something is very wrong.

A strange reply to a score prediction?

If you need somebody to point them out to you you’re watching different games from me!

February 21, 2024 at 9:07 am #281479Didn’t watch nor listen to the game but reports seem to say we played on the front foot yesterday if that’s the case I can accept losing if we were really trying to win give me that anyday than the slow boring stuff we’ve seen of late.

February 21, 2024 at 9:27 am #281483From a neutrals point of view, the game wasn’t too bad.
It was a fairly evenly contested game – both teams making a number of schoolboy type errors and giving the ball away too easily from misplaced passes etc.We were all over them like the proverbial for the first ten or fifteen minutes. Then the game evened up somewhat.
We seemed to be weaker after the substitutions were made.
Did we deserve to win… no.
Did we deserve to lose… no.A point would have probably been fair.
Some poor strikes in the direction of the goal from our players.
We desperately need a finisher!
Their lad up front was a handful and quick. He also worked his socks off.

First half maybe awaywego, from the radio commentary anyway. But not finishing. Second half sounded a different story. Ponderous, errors, head scratching tactics and moves from certain players etc. Torpey was baffled by the frequent long balls when SS had the tallest player on the pitch, and was at a loss how the rot can be stopped (without saying get rid of Dean, obviously).

February 21, 2024 at 10:09 am #281497We got plenty of balls into the box, especially first half, but rarely got anybody on the end of them. Surely it would have been worth trying DSF left and McAlinden right with instructions to cut in and shoot rather than cross. Worked OK with Roberts and Smith.(Who I know are better players)

February 21, 2024 at 11:34 am #281506Rene has pretty much summed up the game perfectly above.
Comedy gold defending and awful finishing let us down last night…the bits in between weren’t actually that bad (compared to recent endeavours anyway).

February 21, 2024 at 12:31 pm #281518Well I dodged a bullet there!
Spent last night at Newcastle City Hall watching Sarah Millican telling jokes about fannys for two hours.
Probably more entertaining than being at the 1st Cloud watching a bunch of them!
February 21, 2024 at 12:57 pm #281521Fanny jokes. I can see how that works on two levels…
February 21, 2024 at 1:16 pm #281523Haven’t heard Elliott’s name mentioned he did get the nod over Whitehall didn’t he.
