Agree there … across the whole SM platform FB Twitter/X etc the whole SUFC situation is a clusterfook , god knows who this proper Herbert fella is or thinks he is .. what a plum, hes doing absolutely no good whatsoever and his info is at best pure speculation quoting sources and “being in the know” when in reality knows buggar all…. this era seems to be his 15 minutes of fame.
** David White posting at length again on the fans group FB page
I thought you didn’t do Social Media?
I started ….. joined sites to try n find out WTF is going on but turned out to be a waste of time for the reasons stated in this thread .. way too much going on , fans kept in the dark n fed information via SM when in reality no one know WTF is happening.
CMC ive never bothered in the past but is me engaging with SM a problem for you ??
September 24, 2023 at 5:41 pm #273364I’ve just picked myself up off the floor after reading the bit about his family, inheritance, gambling, and especially the bit where he tells us all that he’s a good person. Good people lead by example. They don’t need to tell others, it’s obvious by how they conduct themselves…

September 24, 2023 at 6:00 pm #273367The point is Awaywego we supporters didn’t come in promising to take over our club and stadium and agree a deal with Swann. Then trying to get our fans to fund it via the 1899 club. That is what Swann says rang alarm bells with him. It is not us fans saying the money is there to pay but refusing to pay what was agreed and refusing to pay ex staff and players.
My point is that we fans are prepared to support a genuine owner by purchasing season tickets, car parking, etc. even though some fans struggle financially. But now if the agreed deal is not to be done and we have to move to Gainsborough or wherever and may not be abe to attend matches there due to the owner we shall feel extremely cheated. And worst of all we may lose our beloved SUFC.2 users thanked author for this post.
September 24, 2023 at 6:04 pm #273368He is just had his phone thrown away by the village idiot. He is going to be rather wound up. Still, at least they’re getting the division in the fanbase that they evidently crave.
September 24, 2023 at 6:09 pm #273369In one breath, he had double the amount required in his current account:

Then, if all else fails he can start liquidating some of his other assets. Which businesses and which properties, Jason?:
September 24, 2023 at 6:52 pm #273370Hard to keep track these days. It would be worth taking screenshots as so much information conveniently disappears.
The one that stood out for me on the Facebook statement was the contradiction with his statement on the official website with regards to the club being sustainable on crowds of 3,500. A few days prior he was stating the club brings in an income of 40-70k in gate receipts with a top line wage bill of 130k per month. How’s that sustainable?
September 24, 2023 at 6:55 pm #273371September 24, 2023 at 6:58 pm #273373So you want the owners to take all the risk and put all that extra money in for you to be able to watch our beloved Scunny and obviously with no gratitude from one’s self. Would you not rather pay an admission fee that allows the club to break even or maybe a tiny profit, £750 sound alright for you NLI that would bring in £2,250,000 from 3000 fans and we’ll just take it for granted the commercial will make the difference up.

They’ve got the crowd they want Siderite tbf.
September 24, 2023 at 10:24 pm #273381We were very grateful to Steve Whaton for the way in which he Chaired our Club, in a very honest, responsible and supportive way. He would never have risked the future of SUFC as both Swann and Hilton have done. We have supported Hilton by initially trusting and believing in what he said and purchasing season tickets, car parking and spending at the food kiosk.
Out trust has been eradicated due to so many u-turns on recent serious events and I fear we have not yet hit rock bottom with Hilton now owning the Club.
Words are cheap, it’s actions that really matter and now after all his promises and big talk nothing is coming to fruition.1 user thanked author for this post.
September 24, 2023 at 10:36 pm #273382Yes initially Swann is to blame for overspending and transferring SUFC assets to his own company Coolsilk. But now Hilton has refused to honour the agreement to purchasing same assets from Swann so in my opinion I feel he is as much to blame now for our worsening situation.
It dhould be felt an absolute privilege to be the owner of a football club, which is a community asset, but I feel these fly-by-night owners forget the responsibility they are taking charge of and it is not meant to be left as a legacy to ones family but as AN ASSET TO THE COMMUNITY!!!!September 25, 2023 at 8:41 am #273393Going back to the Athletic article it is worth noting that although David White-Hilton-Anderson-Mellors has come out and admitted his past legal issues and subsequent conviction, to the best of my knowledge, he has yet to mention anything about the allegations made in the Athletic stating he may have used alternative names to operate as a director of several companies during his 5 year ban from holding a directorship.
September 25, 2023 at 11:25 am #273400It’s a bit weird just lately ,people who posted on here until recently and during the Swann era are on that site claiming we deleted anti Swann posts and that this is a pro Swann site. That’s just lying, no site did more to highlight the problems under Swann than this one, no site got more letters and emails from Swann and his lawyers about their grievances at our coverage ,no site did more to protect it’s users from solicitors than we did ,people like Patocake ,for instance, should thank their lucky stars that we didn’t cave in and give user details out to lawyers despite massive pressure and impressive legally worded letters explaining why we should from lawyers. They should be thanking us not skulking off to facebook to tell lies because you’re not allowed to abuse people when you’ve had too many nightcaps. These people are also aware of the awful pile ons that we get when people make their pronouncements yet will still spew their bile, we’ve seen death threats, some awful “doxing” ,yep I had to look it up and even a journalist being attacked and when he was ,he was then ridiculed on their and twitter . It’s weird times folks where ethe truth doesn’t matter.People say when our leaders lie that it doesn’t matter, it clearly has the effect on the populous of making lying acceptable

September 25, 2023 at 11:45 am #273403Even I agree with that one 64, you can be quite proud of how toxic it was on here towards Swann.
September 25, 2023 at 11:48 am #273404we did it right, we tried to keep libel down and not solicit people into illegality, years before facebook had it’s pages. We also protected our people despite intolerable pressure.Trust me a solicitors letter is a scarey thing when you’re not one

September 25, 2023 at 12:04 pm #273407Selective memory there NLI Wharton left a £4,500,000 debt £6,500,000 in today’s terms, when he left and was prepared to liquidate us if no one come forward, it’s all there in the accounts at that time. And I take it your not keen to pay maybe what is needed to take the burden off Hilton after all he owes you doesn’t he?
September 25, 2023 at 12:10 pm #273409Wasn’t it £2m?

Many on Bru have assumed that DH is playing games over the purchase of GP but seemingly, fewer believe that it could actually be PS.
Good to see so much trust in our former owner.
Well, it seems clear cut. One party must surely be a lot worse than the other – equal blame seems most improbable.September 25, 2023 at 4:02 pm #273442Just to clarify the clubs zero tolerance policy on people throwing objects onto the field of play home or away, the guy throwing the mobile phone onto the pitch at Chorley on Saturday gets banned right?

September 25, 2023 at 4:41 pm #273453Given who threw it, I’d wager, no
September 25, 2023 at 4:51 pm #273454The absolute disappointment I had when my banning email didn’t come through today… unreal.
September 25, 2023 at 5:43 pm #273456Given who threw it, I’d wager, no
I’d wager your correct and if so it will just confirm the hypocrisy and lies coming out of the club website, it’s either a banning offence or the policy means nothing.

September 25, 2023 at 7:17 pm #273472Has anyone thought they might be in it together. All the conspiracy theories what he was going to do to the club there were so many this just might be the one for all you believers.
September 25, 2023 at 7:27 pm #273475Some on The Fishy were supposing that Swann brought him in to ruin the club to make it easier to sell of Glanford Park. However, I think the vitriol and court case is too much for it to be true, since I can’t see them wasting money like that for a sham.
September 25, 2023 at 7:40 pm #273476Ha yes but what if Ian Sharp makes up a menage a trois, he could make one hell of film about it all would make Wrexham look like cbeebies.
September 25, 2023 at 8:07 pm #27347964 and Matt, you have been a credit to SUFC supporters for the way this site has been moderated over the years; especially within the last year when this site was isolated and butchered on social media for daring to question and criticise.
Thanks.
