For someone who said that he was not making any more statements, it hasn’t taken him long to backtrack again, has it?

In Wham’s latest Facebook statements, this morning:
“My children’s inheritance lost forever for the benefit of people attacking me”.
Tugging at the heart-strings… but whether you were being attacked or not is totally irrelevant. It would be gone either way. You would actually have put yourself in a position where you have spent your children’s inheritance, either way. Attacks or no attacks, the position is on no-one else but you.

Yes it sound like WHAMS words. Another statement I believe just to take the blame away from himself for not wanting, willing or having the funds to purchase the stadium and land. Could be wrong but it sounds to me as if he thought he could either gain it for free or at absolute knockdown price. Not way to do business in my opinion.
“Legacy for his children”. What about the hard-earned cash supporters, pensioners alike who have forked out for season tickets and car park etc. and some could hardly have afforded to do that and the fans paying via the turnstiles, some of who struggle to pay but love our Club.
We don’t drive Rolls Royce and expect things for free. We pay our way and expect to.

Two questions:-
Is the content worthy of release on the OWS so we can all read it?
Do we know they’re definitely the chairman’s words?Fairly safe to assume they are, as they have been posted through David White’s account and not anyone else’s…
As for whether they’re worthy of being considered an official statement, the lines between ‘official’ and ‘gaslighting shitshow’ are so narrow these days, who knows!?

One of the posts seems to have been removed now. There are a few things stated in it that just aren’t credible IMO. However, I’m bored of getting annoyed and wasting time and energy thinking about what either he or his sidekick come out with. Better things to do than waste more time on them

Bored of the emotional manipulation now. Everything he says is about how hard done by he is, while trying to explain away concerning aspects. It’s all designed to make people feel bad for him and feel bad that people dare to hold him to account. From day one he has not been professional, and after much gaslighting nonsense he is reaping the division that was inevitable. I have not seen him ever take responsibility or make an apology for anything without finger wagging at others.
DeereyMe is right in that getting so irritated by this is futile. All I can do is just feel sorrow that him, and the previous idiot have ruined what was a good club.

Reading through the above, the main points are:
1. The club have not decided about playing matches at Gainsborough (yet)
2. WHAM can no longer afford the legal battle with Swann, and he expects to lose if he does
3. It’s all the fault of everyone else that WHAM chose to buy the club and ruin is family’s inheritance
4. Some Scunthorpe supporters have said some nasty things about his daughter
5. Some Bury supporters said even worse stuff about his daughterMy gut feeling is that point 1 will happen because of point 2. As for his children’s inheritance, no one forced him to buy Scunthorpe United. That was his choice, and his choice alone. With regards to point 4, if true then he has every right to feel aggrieved, and as for point 5, that has nothing to do with Scunthorpe United and / or its supporters.

Seems to me that the legal battle with Swann is not ‘for the stadium’ (as many seem to think) but to determine whether Hilton’s actions in issuing a lease hold any legality. As he admits himself, judgement either way leads to GP being gone – Swann gets it back.
So, therefore we will be evicted either when the case is heard early next year, or if and when it collapses before then. We will be playing at (probably) Gainsborough – and it looks like this would have been the case either way the court case went.
So we are told:-
Swann wants to sell the stadium.
Hilton has the money to buy it. (above)
Swann won’t sell to Hilton. (above)
