This will be the biggest clear-out in our entire history.
If you had, say, between 2 and 6 to keep – who and why?
(For simplicity let’s exclude young uns who don’t currently feature.)

    Personally, I wouldn’t dream of keeping 6.

Chapman – good for NLN level
Ogle – my POS but easily NL standard
    Beestin – if fit
    Butterfield – if motivated
    Elliott – if used correctly
    Wilson – more to come

Richards-Everton possibly worth keeping. Slow, but having seen worse donkeys in NLN reckon he’d be okay.

Good call on Wilson CT. Obvious that he has the ability but is in need of some serious professional coaching. Not sure if he’s going to get that under our present/future setup.

    Chapman
    Foster
    Ogle – 50/50 a kamikaze defender
    Shrimpton
Wilson – often looks like Atlas… the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Butterfield should get a deal higher up.

I’m not bothered about any of the rest.

If the wages were coming out of my bank then I’d only retain:
    Foster.
    Shrimpton.

The more we keep the greater chance this rolls into next season, especially given Dimmy Jean looks like he will get the summer. I wouldn’t be against letting them all go.

If it was the player that arrived I’d agree, if it was the one that played yesterday then no thanks.

get rid of the lot .. if i had to choose 5 to stay i couldnt without being honest

    Chappo
    Ogle
    Elliot
Butterfield (no chance he will go)

other than that p45S ALL ROUND SHOWER OF SHITE ..

A professional footballer should have skill pride passion ability ..little of that has been on show in recent months at SUFC ..

As my old gran says .. a new broom sweeps clean so Hilts .. bin them all.. and i mean ALL.

I can only imagine the out of contract players will be gutted they won’t have the chance to play a whole season with the master tactician that is Jimmy Dean

Wilson always looks like he’s towing a caravan.

That’s Richard Wilson ( OFITG ) not Cameron Wilson, think you got a bit confused there

Ogle is an odd one for me, as he’s usually solid and committed and always gives 100%. Only problem is he’s final delivery into the box is complete tosh for the most part and he’s too rash at times.

I wouldn’t be averse to letting him go.

    Wilson I’d keep
Chapman is here for next season regardless
    Elliot’s here for next season
    Shrimpton has something to offer

Apart from that they all can piss off. Pugh gives his all but can’t shoot and that yesterday was plain stupid. Beestin has ability but he’s been on the decline for the last couple of season. Started well but has tailed off since.

Butterfield can go for me, he’d be a top player at that level but I doubt he’d want to stay and he’s not been playing that well himself either so he could be a bit of a luxury play in NLN and we can ill afford any of those.

I’d just stick with Hallam and that’s it. Just to be able to keep the physio full time.

It’s a fact if we keep Hallam he will retain his three year record of being first name on the physio treatment table list every Monday morning.

O’Malley has been in good form for Alfreton. I wouldn’t be against recalling him and giving him another contract and replace Daniel. We would have to play him either as a winger or a wing back though as he’s a bit dodgy defensively as we all know.

wg … I think you meant the promised land …ILKESTON not Alfreton ?

either way Chappo n Elliot stay ok … as for the rest it would be madness to keep anyof them so they can all get on the night boat to Cairo , ooops wrong thread

More to the point who would want to stay .. the club is currently a circus & the new manager is miles out his depth .. some of these players will move on to well run clubs with a decent manager & good players around them & be just fine

We need to look at them as musical instruments some are average some are terrible but- looking at Whitehouse –
its the person responsible for getting a tune out of them – that’s the problem. The guy is beyond clueless and as far as I can see would struggle getting a tune out of a tambourine

Maybe Jimbob is suffering from PCSD (post Covid stress disorder) the same as Chocolate Chip Biden?

Chester fans already loving Whitehouse. And judging by the way he celebrated his goal at Darlington I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed there if offered a contract.

Biden is senile, no clue where he is or what day/year it is…
