Saw it all went off on the Scunny Fans Facebook group yesterday re Smurthwaite. And while it’s no laughing matter, difficult not to chuckle at someone saying they saw something about it on Bru, but can’t find the source?

Person who SE replied to has been doing his best to get our situation out there, he might not know how to run a business but he cares for SUFC Deeply and deserves more than the ridicule given to him and his mate.

Agreed, though I didn’t read it that Simon was ridiculing, just responding and maybe a bit exasperated with it all. I’m sure he appreciates the support, that’s why he took the time to respond and explain it? Just my opinion.

This person is a loud mouth who thinks he’s the biggest & best Scunny supporter around. He talks as if he is best mates with people and intimates that he knows more than anyone else – but never has anything new to say.

He can also be rude and abusive on FB and looks up other people’s profiles and makes rude remarks about them. I know this for fact as he did it to me.

that facebook page is a joke, it’s full of lies and unfettered libel most days with little or no moderation for long periods.For a couple of days there as even Swann’s house and address posted with people being encouraged to go there,the guy you eulogise was openly bragging about having Swann’s phone number and harassing him .

Didn’t know that. That’s terrible. I only look in on it occasionally tbh and can see it looks pretty toxic. Simon seems to post a lot of replies on there. That’s mainly why I look in.

I like him, he winds up the cliques and self appointed righteous on there.

Vale fan here. Stay away from Smurthwaite at all costs. He is poison. He has some very interesting ideas about how to handle income into the club, none of which would be beneficial to your club. He is less honest than Boris Johnson and has the charm of an angry crocodile. Don’t ever go there.
