Came home after Monday’s defeat abjectly angry, came home today totally dejected. Can’t choose between boiling my bollocks in a pan of water, or getting the bbq out and cooking my #### at the same time!

The drive from Sheffield to Scunthorpe has been worth my while since moving to S. Yorks in 1970.
It is no longer worth my effort nor my money to drive across.
My guest appearances will be almost as common as cuckoos in December unless I am incentivised by: sale of club; new players; the occasional win; a stuffed brown envelope bulging with notes of the realm; rumours of entertainment etc.

Me too Les. Not at all enthused with the drive from Cottingham to Scunny to watch what’s been offered for the last few seasons. And now losing regularly in tier 5.
Footy now for a bit will be tier 9 North Ferriby, nearby, fiver in for Jill, £3 for me.
Can’t believe I feel like this, born in Scunny, walked past the ground every day going to Hendy Ave school. Moved at 10, STILL attended when I could, and regularly last 20 years.
You’ve really done it for me and many of the diehards Swann.

Most football fans (apart from Man United) can tolerate their team not being great.

Liverpool fans tolerated 30 years without a league title with good grace lol, At the end of the day no other English team have been great so they have to tolerate it. City are on their way the moment but have doubts whether they will achieve true greatness,you would have been more correct to say man u fans can’t tolerate tip tappie football they want their team to be attack minded something missing since fergie left, many of us just wanted attacking football from Scunny, for me all that’s gone out of the window all I want at the moment is a team to get results enough to keep us in the NL. Bring back Alexander,Boreham reminded me of his early day teams make sure your still in the game at halftime then kick on.
