On my twitter follows there are non stop notifications of players signing up to clubs. Even them down the road signed two more today – nothing but positive vibes coming out of them whilst at swan siro we’ve got one player and a legal challenge against a fan to keep us entertained.

Northampton ,Mansfield and Walsall in particular are having a right go at it. Too be fair a lot of Codhead signings seem even cheaper than what we would go for,Not that impressed with the quality they are going for. We are either proper struggling at this point or simply being patient and Cox knows what and who he wants.

But he might have to accept what and who he is allowed.

Am starting to get really depressed especially when i see players i think we could go for signing for other teams. I know we couldn’t afford josh morris but him playing league two is also annoying me. We need an interview from cox or Swann updating us on whats going on. Even if he says we are speaking to players will boost fans morale slightly as right now there is nobody i know that doesn’t think we will finish bottom.

add Oldham to that, Clarke and McGahey signed. Both injury prone but McGahey if fit is best defender in division. Clarke I think has had his time

Surprised Oldham have got the budget for both of them.

Mcgahey could be a quality signing if he keeps injury free.

Lee Angol to Bradford, could you imagine the outcry if we had signed him, even he is shocked, what have they seen in him that everybody else hasn’t?. Will keep a eye on him this season.

5 in total for Oldham yesterday and another 2 for the Cods. The tumbleweed must be plentiful down at the SVS.

All these singings for other clubs will make Cox’s life easier. Its a numbers thing really, the lower the number of players available, the higher percentage of those players available will be willing to come to scunny. Using that logic I thoroughly expect all our signings to come in August/September.

Lee Angol has a nicely above adequate record.
Bet we could have got more out of him than we did out of Kev.
Would still have preferred Muldoon, of course.
Wish I smoked a pipe so I could indulge in a few dreams laced with positivity. Sigh.
I am just waiting for the squad to be patched up with League One 18 year old loanees that nobody else would dream of signing.

Come back Cordner – all is forgiven! (No. I wasn’t being entirely serious, there.)

Think the Prawn is budgeting for a 2000 crowd break even figure for next season now he has the ground nicely stashed away in his development vault. No interest to pay on the written off 11 million quid debt HE incurred means he wants no more money frittering away on players we can’t afford. He will keep his money safe now and wait for the inevitable as we tumble into non league and beyond, then when its finally all done and all fan interest is spent then and only then will he cash in.

With and where some of our have gone this and last summer it makes you wonder if they were on as big a wage as everyone thinks they were.

Good reputations can take years to build and can be destroyed in a matter of seconds.
With The Iron, I suspect that our reputation amongst players around the country may not be quite what it once was.
We are no longer regarded as a positive outfit – the result of several poor years and recent dreadful ones.

It may well not be wages on offer which are the principal reason why players are no longer queuing up to sign for us. As Alcazar has strongly hinted – who wants to sign up for what looks like an inevitable relegation scrap?

What we now need is a couple of decent signings to demonstrate intent – and PDQ!
That would make us appear a better prospect all round to the middling players we can surely afford but apparently cannot attract.

What formerly attracted players to sign for us?
Our reputation as a club – Gone
Above average wages for our division – Gone
The prospect of playing in a new stadium – Gone
Ambition to be top end L1 club – Gone
Quality players already at the club – Gone.
What’s left? The only quick fix, as les said, sign some quality NOW and show some intent!

Lee Angol scored 1 league goal last season Les, Swann and Cox would have been crucified if we had signed him. More than adequate?.

checking the link for league two transfers; we’re one of about 4 clubs to get one or less in. The issue is the other clubs are already doing well or like Rochdale have come from league one however none of these clubs has seen a released list like ours.

Whatever way you look at it we are in a pool of one of clubs in the shit.

It looks as if we’ve signed a replacement for Karacan so far. As a bare minimum I reckon we still need replacements for:-
    Howard
    Clarke/Brown
    McGahey/Bedeau
    Gilliead
    Eisa
    Mooney/Olomola
    KVV
Even those 7 would leave us a bit light IMO.

Agree with the signings still needed. The lack of any snippets of info about incomings is worrying

People want signings, but based on the past 3 years aren’t fans really concerned at what we deem as a ‘good’ acquisition !

I am certainly! I hope we’re looking at Taft/Karacan types rather than the Turan/Mooney level.

    Not got the app?

Never knew there was one, had my bonds years and have always received winnings in cheque form through the post. Looked at reviews on Google play after your post and most say the app is crap and often crashes.

Maybe, just maybe, Cass is onto something here.

Fans “All the signings are rubbish”
Club “So if we don’t make any signings, we can’t make any rubbish ones?”
Fans “That’s not what we meant”

Or maybe the Prawns thinking, ” fans, don’t need as many as before now the budget is zilch “.
