I must admit, Scunthorpe United have made a very impressive start at building a squad for the season ahead. On paper this is already starting to look like the strongest squad we’ve had for some seasons, and for a refreshing change we should be fighting at the top end.

Good signings early doors. It’s a pity the club aren’t as good at replying to the 10 requests (and counting) about a live stream or blog for those not able to attend tonight’s forum. It’s the forum sold out tweet below the latest new signing. Hopefully they’ll update enquirers one way or another.

In fairness, Wilcox did achieve a very good unbeaten record, even if there was a lot of draws. Also I believe he genuinely loves our football club.

So far the Signings all appear to have Been lined up and announced in the run up to the fans forum.
2 a day in the build up…

This could Possibly have been deliberate… a deflection tactic if you think that way??
It potentially Took an element of heat off on the night.

Previous seasons “we’ve left it too late to sign players. Should have been lined up as soon as the season ended”.

This year “We only signed them early to appease fans before the forum”.

There will always be an agenda for some NI and know we can’t win as far as some are concerned.

Just my old mind doing a bit of overtime … putting all the off field problems aside im hoping non of the new signings decide to have a change of heart with all the uncertainty.. contracts effective form next month and im really hope all of them show up .. i take it all have signed and all the paperwork is locked in… maybe a few more newbies also be nice,

Any updates on Ogle ? … i see Wilson n Butterfield both have requested to leave… not heard nowt lately re comings n goings

Hilton said during the interview the other week there will be a minimum of another 5 players in. Ogle decided to stay. Wilson and Butterfield as you said above, decided to move on.

I’m sure Hilton said regarding more players coming in that some contracts had already been agreed so whether he’ll be announcing them when the players holiday period is up is anybody’s guess.

The only signings I’m interested in are the signatures of Swann & Hilton signing off a full & completed deal.

Not going to happen. We all knew what Swann was after doing when he signed the clubs assets over to his company. From that day forward we were fecked.

Moving to Gainsborough is hardly ideal but if that’s what it takes to get rid of Swann and have our own assets back, then so be it.
