Seems we have kept him on a one year deal with the option of another year after.

Not the first close season signing I was hoping for. A sign of things to come?

Excellent. Shrimpt is a solid all-action midfielder. Build the team around Shrimpt, Cribb and Moore-Billam.

His grandmother Jean was a proper role model.

    Scunthorpe lad.
    Loves the club to pieces.
We’ve paid worse players than him much much more than he’ll be on.
What was that clown we got from up Scotland about ten or so years ago?
He was on about £4,000 a week over two years – £416,000 plus bonuses.
If memory serves, we signed him injured and he remained so more or less for the entirety of his contract.
Think he played about 6 games in 2 years!
Not bad (non) work if you can get it!
How old is Shrimpton 20? – give the lad a chance!

Didn’t we have a manager who was a Scunthorpe lad and loved the club to bits?

Or was that just a bad dream?

I’d say he’s the furthest away from the required standard out of the young lads Hill has tried.

well its a start ..just .. i was getting worried we wont be able to field a side with anyone over 20 in it… not the most enthusiastic fist pumping news lets hope there are more experienced individuals to come… meanwhile the Cods are off to London in huge numbers brimming with confidence… stand back n take a look at the two clubs and think

“”where did it all go so wrong “” for Scunny and right for Hursts Cods ????

Finn is a good lad and I am pleased for him. Would have preferred to read Tom Pugh had been re – signed as our 1st signing and then Finn.

You’ve decided that another relegation is acceptable then?

IMO i just cant see enough ability and experience in any depth now or arriving any time soon , dont rate Hill and with the current budget and uninterested “want out” chairman another relegation is favourite .. if i had to put a 500 quid bet on SUFC being champions , promoted via play offs or relegated (no mid table obscurity) im afraid it would have to be placed on the latter as things stand…sad but true.

The club is rotten to the core and in a shambolic state .. a quick fix is impossible under the situation as it stands.

Every morning i wake up turn on my PC and log into this site hoping for news of a new owner of any kind .. alas not yet and the thought of another season with Swann at the helm Turnbil as his puppet steering us rudderless to oblivion isnt much fun… and listening to more Hill post match BS makes my piss boil.
