We are down, we have been for months!
Season tickets are on sale for an exciting season in NON-LEAGUE… guessing not many have sold so far!!!
Now SUFC… show US ALL what the plan is… the season is over so get the recruitment in place and let’s have a great pre-season.
If we keep this young squad will be relegated again !!!
So let’s go after some TOP players who are proven at national league prem level or really good league 2 pros
Get them signed up NOW and them maybe the public will get involved (Swann or no Swann)
The lack of a plan and getting absolutely embarrassed every Saturday as we end our 72 year stay in the football league is just another totally unacceptable situation!!
Prove to us that this club is not the absolute joke it appears

How’s that going to happen?

April 25, 2022 at 10:58 pm #236402Wishful thinking…
The point I’m making is our seasons done so where’s the recruiting?
What’s the plan?
Pre-contracts??
Level of ambition??We have messed up pretty much every preseason going since Swann arrived… surely this year there’s no reason for that to happen??
We are weeks ahead of others as we know our fate! The club put all their effort into pushing season tickets but no one wants one until we know what we are paying for!
Yes we should support the team whatever but in the expensive world we live in that’s not going to be buy purchasing a season ticket just because SUFC are my hometown team.
Trust in Peter Swann is probably at an all time low so selling tickets without something tangible (squad) to buy into is going to be hard to say the least

April 25, 2022 at 11:25 pm #236404It all sounds so good Sharp-Shooter, but we all know that it will not happen mate, what reason has any decent player got to joint our disjointed shower, we are one of the lowest wage payers, we have one point from our past nine matches, the manager has stated that some players do not want to be selected in case they get injured, and to the point “what would the reason to tell fans of future plans” when everything supporters have been told over the past seven years has all been a pack of lies!!!!!!. It is too late to have any plans, when we have operated without any for so long, there is absolutely no reason for the club to try and win back fans by the way supporters have been treated over seven years, but if you want a plan for next year, I will give you one.
Struggle to compete in games from August.
Turn out an inexperienced squad that has been thrown together on a breadline budget.
Team to contain about six youth players, giving their all, but like this season experience is required along with three youth players..
Our club will be paying Swann rental for the stadium, he will not stick to his word regarding giving back the stadium when he leaves.
The team will be in the, or not be far off the relegation four teams.
Gates will be down to 1,000 to 1,200, with UpTheIron69 sitting in the directors box singing Swanns praises, and annoying anyone around him ha ha!
SEE HOW THESE FORCAST TURN OUT GUYS, GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE STILL BOTHERING TO ATTEND.

April 25, 2022 at 11:45 pm #236406Under the present regime (Swann as absentee landlord and Turnbull as COO) it will be more of the same.
If Lee is given a say in recruitment it may be slightly better, but let’s not forget he was given the elbow from that job in favour of Will Swann. And to my knowledge WS has not stood down from his role.
I just don’t see how recruitment can improve. It’s all well and good wanting top NL/L2 players, but would they come here? Could we afford them?
The squad will have to be smaller, which means we can’t afford to carry passengers. We certainly can’t afford the sort of injury list we’re used to seeing, yet we’re going to be starting the 22/23 season with at least two of the above.
Miracles do happen, and managers and scouts can pull a rabbit out of the hat occasionally, but I just don’t see it happening this summer.

April 26, 2022 at 9:06 am #236412There is no ambition from the current regime hence our club being put up for sale.
There has been no ambition for the last few years hence a policy on youth (quickly abandoned) which left the club scratting about in the proverbial signing the likes of Perry, Bunn, Davis and O’Neill.
That lack of ambition was carried into the January transfer window where allegedly our target signings opted for Stevenage who have subsequently survived the drop.
We ended up with a couple of players who made a slight difference Delaney, Feeny and Grant supplemented by those whose contribution has been derisory.
So with a captain who abandoned ship and took a lifeboat long before we hit the iceberg, the only ambition was to get out.
Ernest says there are interested parties but how many actually believe him? Not too many. It’s gone from 3-4 interested parties to only 1 credible bidder and that has gone more silent than a nuclear submarine under the Barents sea.
As older generations would say ‘you reap what you sow’, and Ernest your empty words and false promises are being met with the same contempt you have shown us over the course of your tenure.
There is one mutual ambition however you want rid of us and we want rid of you.
