Oh what a lovely day for it, imagine 1500 plus blades will have a lovely day in more ways than one, it’s bloody hot drink more beer, bloody hell it’s still hot drink more beer, go to the match see their team win, bloody hell it’s hot let’s go up town and drink more beer, Humberside’s finest will probably have their work cut out today, imagine their fans will be here already and will probably not go home till late, I hope they have a good day other than the football.
July 16, 2022 at 10:23 am #240724North Lincolnshires finest definitely will. Up the iron
July 16, 2022 at 10:59 am #240728Game will probably get delayed, crash on M18 and 1048 train cancelled. Replaced by a bus which will turn up well after KO.
July 16, 2022 at 2:24 pm #240741Beestin taken off injured and the trialist winger Kahousi or whatever his name is, is also injured I think…hence why he didn’t play today. Hallam’s probably broke down again as well as he didn’t feature.
The young winger is fairly highly rated as well which is a shame.
Good win though.
July 16, 2022 at 2:29 pm #240742No sign of Ntlhe or, what a surprise, Hallam.
July 16, 2022 at 2:34 pm #240744I was looking forward to seeing how the young lad faired as well. Butterfield completely ran the game from the middle, if we sign him and he stays relatively fit in the conference, he’ll take the piss.
I suspect it may be similar to beagrie’s impact when he came here. Lofty expectations but you can tell he’s even way above league two level. I’d place him top end league 1 kind of quality and he’s be comfortable there.
If we can somehow pull this off…what a signing
July 16, 2022 at 3:34 pm #240750Friendly or not a wins a win, first win at a game since Grimsby away 2019, very happy with today’s performance goalie very very confident made one greet save, 2 big lads at the back comfortable on the ball played well across the park and the goals were taken well. A yes from me.
July 16, 2022 at 3:44 pm #240751Good to see the goals going in. Couldn’t be there today but did you manage to find out how much the grub was from the mobile chippy awaywego? Mate told me it was £6.50 for sausage chips and gravy. The sort of figure, if not a little more, that I was saying I paid for decent food at a few non league grounds last season. You had me down as a gobshite though if I recall? Be interesting to see how much the pizza fare is on Tuesday mate.
July 16, 2022 at 3:59 pm #240753Champagne football at times first half. Young lads did well to hold on at the end. Positive day.

July 16, 2022 at 4:06 pm #240754Fish and chips £9. Only questioned if you actually went Deerey to the unnamed grounds. You never did tell us which ones (if any) you went to.
July 16, 2022 at 4:27 pm #240755It’s okay to admit you were wrong mate 😃.Told you why I’m not saying where those grounds were – tier 10 so it’s inconsequential.
July 16, 2022 at 6:28 pm #240761Don’t bother with pre season games but good to see so many positive comments online about the performance.
Sounds like Daniel is not a left back and Impressed with his performance.
Definitely some form of feel good factor around the club with the new kit launch and todays match, need to start building momentum now and carry it through to the start of the season.

July 17, 2022 at 10:11 am #240782Seems like the sheff u fans didn’t have such a good day after all, only one train made it to Scunthorpe hundreds stuck in Donny and had to wait around for buses to be provided, at least they got them there for kick off, and then of course they saw there team well beaten till we rained the subs. Ticketing still a farce lots of season ticket holders who loaded the game on their tickets the turnstiles wouldn’t admit them and had to queue at the main ticket office to get a paper ticket, still just as bad as the Rowing era.
July 17, 2022 at 10:38 am #240786But if they’d have been Liverpoool fans with tickets that didn’t work it would have been their fault.
July 17, 2022 at 11:18 am #240790Of course not there always innocent.

I got my season ticket yesterday and I said to Sarah can you put the Sheffield game on the card, the reply was no the season ticket cards are not working yet so for the friendlies it will be tickets.
July 17, 2022 at 12:00 pm #240797Communication problem then mick, well would you have thought eh? 😂😂😂
July 17, 2022 at 1:02 pm #240801Was there a commentary on this game?
Is there one v Rochdale?July 17, 2022 at 1:22 pm #240802Would be nice for a local electrical/electronics firm to repair or replace scoreboard for a free bit of advertising.
July 17, 2022 at 1:45 pm #240804It would but I’ve been reliably told that it’s so old the parts are obsolete.
July 17, 2022 at 1:52 pm #240805Have to get the old numbers out again. Match A 0-0

July 17, 2022 at 2:05 pm #240806I suppose it has taken a few blows from our strikers in the past few years with their wayward shots
July 17, 2022 at 2:22 pm #240807Could have done a tweet about the friendlys after all we have tweeted more than any other club in the world, and when it’s something important nothing! An Email wouldn’t have gone a miss, it’s the little things that count.
July 17, 2022 at 2:23 pm #240808Big well done to lads on the victory .. some positives .. especially scoring 3 goals in a game since .. god knows when ..hang on was it Oldham last season ??
if no intention of repairing the deceased scoreboard then it should be removed .. bit of an embarassment really.. a new one installed in the corner would be a better idea , suppose its down to budget again ..or lack of any plan to maintain the fixtures n fittings of GP…much the same as the team… one swallow doesnt make a summer as my old gran used to say.
July 17, 2022 at 2:36 pm #240809Those flashy advertising boards are everywhere now, they might pick one up cheap.although finding someone to delete the covid information on it might be a problem. Then again leaving it on could be foreword thinking and we don’t do that

Did she say what one swan made?
July 17, 2022 at 3:25 pm #240811A pigs ear
July 17, 2022 at 8:08 pm #240816Kevan Kahoussi is still at the club in trial and is currently fully fit. The club tried to get international clearance to see him in the game but couldn’t get it in time.
They will try to get it so he can play against Rochdale.
