Swann’s word holds little sway with most Scunthorpe United fans as he has failed to deliver on any of his promises to date!

That is completely understandable. Maybe I am trying to see light in the gloom, but I cannot begrudge anyone who isn’t won over.

Like I say, Swann really needs to match actions to his words. He’s rarely done that so far, but what do we have but hope?

I agree with Sanfran. There is no mention about who will own the land on which the apartments will be built or indeed the apartments themselves.Hopefully he will clarify that tomorrow.

I think 14 days is a bit unfair what changes can really happen in 2 weeks? Yes he could sack the manager but would that please everyone? He said work would now start on development before christmas and gave his reason’s as to why it hasn’t happened earlier.

    Better food?
    Ticket deals?
Better service in the Iron Bar?
    Clean toilets?

NONE of the above are too difficult.

But my two weeks grace period is because we’ve heard what amounted to his lies before, but seen NO IMPROVEMENTS WHATSOEVER.
    So he has a fortnight.
Show us you mean business or feck off.

Would our fans rather see flats at the football ground or would they rather see a decent football team playing decent football. Its obvious Swann is only interested in his buildings and the land and couldn’t even be bothered to oversee the ground brought up to an acceptable standard for fans to attend during the close season. We came back to an absolutely disgraceful stadium, filthy seats, toilets unusable and a dessicated football team. He had got rid of any decent players. Then he has the audacity to blame the fans for not attending. Don’t believe a word that comes out of his mouth. All he’s doing is lieing to try and take the heat off himself as he can never take criticism. He’s afraid of bad publicity and the demonstrations that should be happening to show our fans discord. SWANN OUT!!!!!

First time in years the majority of fans are pointing the finger at him so this response is unsurprising.
He’s firmly in the firing line.

Let’s face facts, If fans continue to turn their back on the club on match days then he’ll have no choice but to dip into his pockets to make up the short fall and after Saturday he’s obviously realised that attendances over 2,000 are at serious risk…… for the first time in his tenure HE NEEDS FANS through the turnstiles!!!!
The difference between 3,000 and 2,000 hits him in the pocket and he’s in the shit because most of us have finally ran out of patience!!

The Latest statements are too little too late!
He’s done this to our club…… NO-ONE ELSE!!

If he wants the fans back onside he needs to sort out the football and results…simple as that.
His words mean absolutely nothing anymore!!

He’s desperate but he’s done this so I have absolutely zero sympathy!!

This is bang on the money, nailed it.

I dont think he’s seen any light at all.
I think he’s seen the possible bad publicity and is trying to avoid it.

Indeed. As I said earlier, he’s playing for time.

Keep stalling until the January transfer window when he can shuffle the pack to make it look like something is being done.

Could have had a career in politics. Especially under the present shower!

But we’ll still have a limit on squad size and only be able to sign the same quality as we have now unless the EFL loan is repaid won’t we?

Either Brigg Town or Bottesford, probably better day out for you, and the football must at least be more exciting and a few shots on goal will be something new to us!!

That’s why I wrote “shuffle the pack” ‘tash!

Couple of loans out, a couple in. Maybe find another Jem Karacan.

He’ll be desperate for any positives. There are none to be had at present

From the Forest Green game onwards the approach has to be to WIN every game.

Even if there is the odd injury replacements must buy into a must win culture, do 1 game targeting then call it a day because that is negative.

Any statement post match where “we knew what they would do and what we had to do and didn’t” says time to resig.

Same place we are heading now…non-league.
And to be honest, I’m not convinced he can now stop what he’s put in motion.
Even if he truly wants to😉

These 30 shareholder meetings are to try and split the fans.
These Shareholders want to remember that it was not many years ago he tried to get rid of them all !
You can only judge a person on what they have done not what they say they are going to.
In our Chairman’s case nothing he has said such as new ground , apartments , upgrade of present ground has come to fruition.
The only thing that has happened is that he’s left the Club without a single asset apart from the name since he transferred all the land etc to Coolsilk.
Now to try and prevent any protests etc all of a sudden he says he will give it back !
Seems to me the only thing our Chairman is worried about is bad publicity and the National media getting hold of all this.
Begging fans to return and not going himself speaks volumes !

Bang on Iron lion just what I have been thinking. He’s worried the national press will get hold of what’s happening now and also what he has done to our Club. Dragging us to the bottom of the entire football league and gaining ownership of the clubs stadium and assets by transferring them to his own company. So suddenly Swanns attitude and opinions have changed overnight. I don’t buy into that and in my opinion a load of rubbish. He hasn’t changed at all. I like many others think he is trying to get shareholders on his side and split the fans. A desperate person will try different angles to suit themselves and no-one else. He doesn’t give a toss about the football at Scunthorpe United.

So c’mon Swann. You’ve heard the saying put your money where your mouth is. So let’s see it in writing that our stadium and assets will be returned to SUFC by a certain date say by the end of this season. If this is signed off we may then start to believe you mean what you say, which you have never don in the past. In my opinion it’s all just bluster and means nothing!

It may well be indicative of a change of heart but that statement still comes across as quite self-centred – I would have liked to hear more about the impact of the club management on other people.

    Or Mark Howard.

Why are you obsessed about a poor keeper who cost us several games last season – a season when we barely escaped relegation?

Agreed Ferrite Howard wasn’t all that, but he did average 1.27 points per game for us, Rory averaged .5 last season and .58 this season if we carry on with that average we will only amass 27 points, his best average was 1 point per game in 5 games which is still not deemed enough to stay up, Sorry but Rory just isn’t good enough.

Surely Cox knows he’s not good enough, that’s why he made him no2 and got another keeper in.

That’s a bizarre way of looking at things, as if Watson is the only player on the pitch.
