    We can’t continue like this!!

    Where does this end??

He also said we were in good nick. Not in debt and with an exciting squad heading into the new season.

Anything bad was the fault of Covid, and that’s over now isn’t it?

So come along lads, “Always look on the bright side of ……”

    National League.

You sure about that? I reckon the drop could be bigger than just one division.

We need our club back before this mess gets even worse! Come on swanny do the right thing! We were once a proud little club who bigger clubs had nothing but good things to say about us but now we are a laughing stock on a complete downward spiral into non league.

It feels like you’ve lost interest so pop it on the market and let’s see who’s out there!!

Bound to be a consortium ready to make things good

Problem could be someone will want the ground as well.

Would that fit into someones super plan ?

Hope someone does make a move and SOON, may not be much but I guarantee I will renew my season ticket in support of the new owner.

Yes a new owner will make our players turn into Messi, Ronaldo etc.

    Cloud cuckoo land.

It might turn our supporters into the Kop or the Stretford End!

I do rather wonder if new owners would be required to pay hire charges on the ground.
Not having seen the specifics of ‘this wonderful Coolsilk deal’ – I am not in any position to comment.

    Anyone?

Perhaps not, but a new owner might put a proper scouting system in place capable of signing players who are fit for purpose instead of relying on one of his lad’s to do it

Never mind a new scouting system. Get rid of what is there now !

There are a lot of people who would come and help new leadership. Get back to actually treating supporters with respect and communicating with them.

What would actually be sold and bought?

There is no tangible asset of any value, somebody wishing to own a football club in this Town would be better off setting up from scratch playing non-league and working their way up the football ladder!

I must point out that Ernest is doing this in reverse order.

If Mr Swann was to put the club up for sale what would he be selling? just a name really new owners wouldn’t have there own ground or training facilities. Peter would keep all that, then he would charge the club rent at whatever rate he wants. We have nothing but a team now any new owners would have to look at building us a new home and that would put off almost everybody.

But the rent will be far less than the interest on an £11 million debt, plus there would still be the debt itself, which one would you choose?.

Pointless choosing in my opinion as the debt has gone and there probably won’t be a sale or hire.

I believe the Ground & training had something like £5 mill as the price to buy it.

The other real estate one would imagine fits anothers plan !

The club may not be a sleeping giant but it could do a damn sight better than this and I am sure fans would support a new regime who wants to be involved with the fans and off field revenues would increase appreciably.

Or is that the fear factor – that someone could actually make something of it.

The debt is still there for Swanny and Coolsilk, and it will still have to be paid,it’s only disappeared from our balance sheet, bit like magic now you see it now you don’t.
