My first post on here for a number of years. The early bird ticket pricing ends on Friday with no indication atm of what pricing will be in place from next week. I know we are in uncharted territory, but ending the early bird offer in April seems absurd. What thinking lies behind it? DH seemed lukewarm on season tickets in his in house interview a few week back.

Apologies, I see this has been covered. A risky approach by DH. Once season tickets holders fail to renew it will be hard to get them back on pay per game pricing.

True enough if the team carries on in the same vane, but if they start to win games the fans will come back, and that’s the same for most teams.

Seems barmy that the early bird is ending this week, especially coming off the back of 6 defeats in a row.

End of May would be a suitable time. Let the dust settle on this season and see what happens with the ground.

Agree entirely with CBRP post , the early bird offer ending in April before the end of another disasterous season and without the takeover completed fully re GP is bonkers.

My daughter n son in law are buying STs as the eldest grand kid is hooked after the grass roots day , even though it will cost slightly more (nobody knows how much yet but cant be too much surely) i advised them to wait until after the GP issue is resolved which is exactly what i would do if was doing the same…

I hope your going to stand the increase for them IFA, what happens if Hilton doesn’t come up with the money to buy the ground? Will they not buy a season ticket and disappoint the eldest grandkid? Ask the grandkid if he’s bothered who owns the ground mine don’t give a flying f all they want to do is see as many scunny games home and away as they can, all the grandkids will see is some sad old fart in a distant country being a knob. For f sake you were one of the lads in toppo’s van you’ve had your enjoyment out of the club let the grandkids have theirs. Ps Have you told the grandkids on what you used to get up to so they know the boundaries to adheer to lol.

Valid points and some history thrown in as well thanks … i do suffer from SML sporadic memory loss so accidently forgot to tell them re away day exploits of yester year

As i said i only advised them ,they are old enough and wealthy enough to do as they wish so covered myself on appearing to be a knob..i absolutely love the fact my family back home want to support the club, and very happy they seem to want to do so to the extent of becoming ST holders, my point is IF there is a problem re DH and the GP ownership issue and it doesnt happen where would home games be played Swan could just lock the gates and auction GP off or grow spuds on the pitch WHO KNOWS ???…sadly this senario would leave ST holders and their families young n old where exactly ???

When has Swann ever suggested he wouldn’t let us play at GP? You shouldn’t live your life on ifs and buts IPA, just on footy alone I’d never be able to book advance train tickets if it was down to ifs and buts, does it cost me money yes nearly every season it does thru weather, the Efl, the NL and illness, 50 quid down for the Dorking game this season but the savings overall makes it easier to take.

Queueing out the door to get a cheap season ticket this morning, obviously still a fair few people believing that doom and gloom and desolation isn’t coming to get us after all. I just purchased my single match day ticket for Saturday’s game as normal but it’s nice to see people aren’t being fazed by what they see as crap being posted on here by some. UTI

The longest ‘try before you buy’ in history?
The 1899 scheme has proven disastrous.
If Hilton had the money then surely he’d have bought it by now?
If he doesn’t have the money, then I guess he’s looking to finance it by a loan or with silent partners in tow?
The countdown timer is ticking – 35 days (inc today) to the 24th May.
If he hasn’t or can’t raise the funds, then I’m guessing it remains at Swann’s disposal.
As he’s no interest in the club anymore, will he just lock the gates and sell the entire site to developers to be rid?
A £1 saved is better than another £1 lost.
It’s all ifs, buts and maybes.
Plenty more water to run under the bridge before this one ends.

Ironfromafar. It is your turn to receive the “awaywewgo” wrath, at least it gives me a bit of respite, if only it is for a couple of hours or so, you should really have given things a bit more thought, and should never give any oipinions of yours on the iron-bru forum ha ha!, even though you are completely correct in what you say.

Got my season ticket. My money, my choice. Don’t need anybody to tell me what to do. If you have stopped going to watch fine but stop moaning on here you have made your choice. If the club folds in future will get my football fix elsewhere but in the meantime I am an Iron fan.

Few good points on Season tickets posted on Happy Clappers and they’re being shot down, as usual.

We could do things like Kick off at 5.30pm Saturday and 7pm Midweek which some clubs have done with some success.

Pretty much sums it up .. positive news is that according to the SUFC website its very very busy at the ticket office so much so they are struggling to engage fully with telephone queries with staff all busy.
Be very interesting to see how many early bird STs are sold and also those sold after the GP is resolved. I really hope both home attendances and away traveling fan numbers remain high and im sure they will if he football and results are good.

@ AWAYWEGO my daughter contacted me and they got their STs yesterday… i forgot to ask in which part of GP , for my distant crusty old fart sins my choice would be the Britcon but im guessing they went for the posh seats.
