Was talking to some friends of mine last week, went into office for season ticket for him and the wife, got his card out, sorry only cash or bank transfer, went across the road, got cash, went back and paid, oh can I have a receipt he says, sorry we don’t give receipts for cash!! I thought you were legally obliged to furnish a receipt, why would they not give him one?

He was told they don’t give receipts for cash, he was gullible enough to except that end of story, have a word and tell him to stand his ground next time silly man.

    I don’t believe it’s a legal requirement to issue a receipt.
However, it’s pretty unprofessional not to.
    I wouldn’t hand over £500 cash without a receipt.

Is this the norm or has other people got receipts for their money. Seems odd to me and no proof of purchase could come back to haunt them.

No proof of purchase, you have to give name and address phone number for it to be recorded yes recorded on their system they won’t hand one over without, there’s your proof of purchase, it’s an whole new world out there.

You might also have to show your receipt to get your ticket when they issue them

Not if it’s on the system Mick was able to pick up grandsons last season just by giving his address and age. They aren’t bad people Mick there there to help it’s in there interest, full time or part time anyone would think the staff are there to shaft us, don’t buy into all these conspiracys Mick your better than that.

That’s Hilton’s ploy Rene he wasn’t keen on issuing season tickets in his interview, wants as few as possible so he can get more money from fans being casuals.

    True.
Don’t fancy the trip to Ilkeston if that scenario does materialise.
If it did, then I think I’d be a floating fan of the local non-league clubs. We’ve plenty around us worth watching and it’ll be good to distribute the revenue evenly.
Some good little set ups with nice club houses / lounges.

We’re very nervous now regarding buying season tickets. Thought it was a two way thing, benefiting fans and club. Gets money in for the club during the summer and allows loyal fans who like to keep their seats, which they have probably sat in for years. There can’t be hardly any chairman don’t want to sell season tickets. Let’s all buy them and tell him to shove Ilkeston. I’m sick of him speaking the word Ilkeston, we are SUFC. If he can’t move on from them he should have stayed there. Swann still owns everything bar our Club name. If Swann had suggested moving training away from our ground there would have been uproar. Still no mention of improvements to Glanford Park which are needed and still just the talk of buildings going up around our stadium on the car parks and training pitch. Just tell me what’s changed to the benefit of our Club. In my opinion nothing. No academy, no car parking and no training at GP. Just buildings going up on our club’s land and I fear everything will eventually be moved to Ilkeston.

Cant disagree with any of that post… hands up if you think our new savior n owner DH is a big of a slippery buggar as my old gran used to say.
Call me an old synic but if you can smell a rat theres usually a rat somewhere hanging about.

Selling shares for cash to own GP that he doesnt own himself yet

    1899 x 1899 equates to 3mil cash a familiar number

start to split up the club siting poor training facilities that have and will serve the club quite adequately over many years and still could do saying its to save cash amongst other reasons.

Not wanting sell season tickets or on a cash gig only

    Cash on the gate returns

land to be sold for development .. cash

    Theres a theme appearing here

I too im fed up of him constantly talking about Ikeston and his demi god status there , i do think he has a plan alas long term it wont all be for the benefit of SUFC and whatever it takes any move away from Scunny should be protested against.

As is the norm at SUFC its a clusterfook.
