Prices out now a reduction of 15 pounds from this season, 12.17p per game to sit and 9.57p to stand for adults seems fair to me, obviously unless your a casual (yet to be announced).

March 22, 2023 at 7:05 pm #257765Sounds fine to me although I probably won’t be buying one, my attendance at Iron games is shall we say, a lot more flexible then it used to be. Weekends away and visits to family living away are the priority these days as the years fly away. Having said that I will still be attending the vast chunk of next season’s home games, will stump up the extra cash and buy a ticket two days before a game, as per the norm these days for me.

March 22, 2023 at 7:17 pm #257767Can’t really grumble at those prices; If we finish the season strongly, whether we survive or not, I expect us to shift a couple of thousand
March 22, 2023 at 7:31 pm #257768Only 7.83p per game for you Ironawe probably work out cheaper than a casual for you, never had a season ticket in my life but at 6.09p for me and free for grandsons I’m going to get one.

March 23, 2023 at 7:23 am #257778The prices seem very fair to me, I’ll be renewing mine today.
March 23, 2023 at 7:47 am #257779Take into account inflation and the need to have as a good a playing budget as possible seems fair.
March 23, 2023 at 8:27 am #257780obviously i truly hope we can survive in the NL this season ..however if the unthinkable happens and its NLN what are the thoughts of supporters with regard to if the club will loose fans and attendances will decrease ? or building on from new ownership , manager and players will support increase as it seems to have done with higher attendances than whilst in the ELF…imagine the Iron in NLN taking similar numbers away as at the moment , in a perverse sort of way it may be an exciting time to be a fan.
Im confident the downward spiral will end this season whether in the NL or NLN the club will bounce back in the seasons to come… ALA Luton , Stockport and the like.
UTI .. hope its a great week for the Iron and the fans at Notts County and York expecting them to create a great atmosphere at both games.
March 23, 2023 at 8:54 am #257781I believe attendances will increase next year ironfan.
Let’s be honest, there’s no difference if the opposition is Kings Lynn or Wealdstone. I’m going to make fairly safe assumption we will be winning more games next year, couple this with the stayaways returning since Swann’s departure and I wouldn’t be shocked if we average 3,500-4,000 next year.

March 23, 2023 at 9:44 am #257783Had my first ever season ticket in our last League season. Not sure why..especially with Swanny still at the helm. I’ve always done what IA outlined because could only make 75% of games. This time round I’m going for it again. Seems great value to me …plus the more sold the more of a thumbs up to Hilton who has given it a right go so far.

March 23, 2023 at 12:57 pm #257796Interesting to read that season tickets are only available if you pay cash

Yes it does seem strange in this day and age, people should refuse to pay cash insisting that card is only available as a method of payment on match day in the stadium. Double standards?
March 23, 2023 at 1:18 pm #257799The totalitarian neo-Marxist state should have a word with them and tell them that this is not part of the dastardly plan. :-)

March 23, 2023 at 1:23 pm #257800Indeed. What you reckon bpg? Finally taking heed of your prophecies down at GP? 🤣
March 23, 2023 at 1:40 pm #257802I’m getting my season ticket tomorrow.
It appears they are unable to take card payments, but they would if they could.
I will not comment on the previous few posts,as this is the football side, not non- football.2 users thanked author for this post.

That’s not right surely? it’s worrying to say the least
March 23, 2023 at 2:02 pm #257804There maybe an issue with the card readers, they were down before kick off v Wealdstone.
March 23, 2023 at 2:10 pm #257805not that it effects me but as mentioned in Gareths Wealdstone ironarmy YT vid i just cant understand why they dont take cash n the turnstiles or a selected turnstile at every home game its a no brainer.
March 23, 2023 at 2:10 pm #257806There is no issue with the card readers.
March 23, 2023 at 2:18 pm #257807Lack of trust from the card companies ?
March 23, 2023 at 2:40 pm #257809My painter and decorator only takes cash
March 23, 2023 at 2:40 pm #257810£220 to stand at 6th tier football? I dunno, it sounds a lot to me.
March 23, 2023 at 2:44 pm #257812SST is correct there is nothing wrong with the card readers because you can still buy match day tickets in the shop/office for this season by card. Hope it’s not a case of who owns what still down at SUFC.
March 23, 2023 at 2:51 pm #257814The explanation on the site is that the card merchant won’t allow season tickets purchases to be processed via them. Why would they do that?

£9.50 a game for an adult. Seems fair to me.

Maybe on larger amounts, card merchant is susceptible to gambling addiction fraud 🤔😂
March 23, 2023 at 3:42 pm #257825it does leave you exposed with a season ticket if the club goes bust and you didn’t pay by credit card

Up to this season Hull had the membership scheme where you had to pay monthly by direct debit for a season pass, even though they called it a membership scheme. This season they gave ‘members’ the choice to pay in cash in full for the full season. I coughed up straight away as I always used to pay for a season pass in full. Personal choice as I like to budget that way.
March 23, 2023 at 6:59 pm #257839Can’t see anything sinister in it, applies to debit cards as well.
March 23, 2023 at 8:47 pm #257841“The Price of Football” podcast raised this a couple of weeks ago with a representative from Lincoln City who seemed unhappy that their ‘card merchant’ had done the same to them just as they were launching their Early Bird tickets despite no prior issues with chargebacks, but had been told it was on the basis of a risk assessment.
Alternatives he investigated had either wanted substantial bonds to be paid or would withhold payments and distribute funds as games were played. He pointed out that the entire reason for Early Bird deals is to get cash flow for the summer when there are few other inflows, and that if you have to wait until August for payments to start, it rather defeats the object…
March 23, 2023 at 10:37 pm #257845I believe the Swann’s paid substantial six figure bonds to be able to take card payments in previous seasons
