Keith’s signings, under incredible restrictions, look pretty intelligent to me.
Former season ticket holders might wish to review their decisions not to buy season tickets.
No use to me for a variety of reasons but are there shoots of recovery and maybe even consolidation on the cards? If so – buy, buy, buy.
And hopefully Swann bye, bye, bye!
(That is known as a double whammy.)
Will AWG be back for the season’s start, I wonder?July 18, 2022 at 7:06 pm #240869Like myself, most will be waiting on a Potential sale.
If the rumours are true and he sells a majority stake, then I reckon we will shift another 500 before the start of the season. Possibly more if the ‘feel good’ factor continues with a couple of Butterfield Esque signings.

July 18, 2022 at 7:09 pm #240870It’s all about Wednesday and what he says on the podcast, if it’s no sale then the majority of people will still not buy one.
July 18, 2022 at 7:12 pm #240871I mean the stay aways who previously had a season ticket.
July 18, 2022 at 7:23 pm #240872Went on sat Les will go against Yeovil after that I really don’t know possibly more if they do ok more for one of the grandsons than for me I really don’t like the match experience at home in more ways than one, and unless they move the ground it will never get any better for me, since glanny park opened my best season was probably 5 home game’s in a season, so I’m not the right person to be asking about, ask someone who used to go regularly, there are many from what I read on here.

July 18, 2022 at 11:49 pm #240890Well Awaywego pal, having watched the Iron when ever possible and excepting the past two seasons for seventy one years, my opinion might be classad as the general assumption for the missing 1,800 ex-supporters. I held my season ticket in the Cluggy since retirement in 2009, and only missed one game until the Covid season, that one match when I sat in the car park for an hour before I realised that I had left my ticket card at home in Barton.
But the way the team has been set up for the past four seasons, when attacking play was never any part of Scunthorpe Uniteds playing style, if we ever managed two shots on target, it was a bonus, but saying that, it cost me more than my season ticket price due to watching both home and away Scunny games on iFollower, and after all they have been my team since 1951 when entering the league, but sadly Mr Swann has ruined the complete experience of supporting SUFC, all the bullshit he has fed supporters with, there is not one thing has come true, sadly I backed him on this forum 100% for about four or five years, just think “me being 81 YOA and so easily conned by bullshit”, but until Mr Swann is clearly out of the Scunny set up,I will like many other long time followers of Scunny, never set foot in GP at any cost.
So Awaywego, I hope that gives you an idea of what many missing supporters are thinking, what is so much of a shock, is how the hell have 1,500 fans bought season tickets for this season, the bloody owner does noit bother hius arse to attend, so after the past four seasons, why do these 1,500 think things will change for the good???????????
BUT AS I STATED, THEY ARE STILL MY TEAM AT HEART, AND I WISH THEM AND THE FANS ALL THE VERY BEST FOR THE FUTURE.

July 19, 2022 at 6:31 am #240897No value in a season ticket for me due to a number of reasons but I will attend the vast majority of games as always, work and family life permitting.
July 19, 2022 at 8:01 am #240900The Scunthorpe fans Facebook page has stated a potential takeover has been quashed due to Swann wanting to keep hold of shares so that Coolsilk still have access to the land.
No idea how true it is.

July 19, 2022 at 8:23 am #240901Sounds like someone was trying to buy it on the cheap.

I hope that’s not true. I wouldn’t be surprised though if there’s truth in it. Swann always did want the land !

No idea how true it is. I really cannot wee this being true, just because Peter Sqann stated after trasferring the assets to his company that “I will return the assets back to the club when I leave the club”, it was stated at the same time as when he told fans that “the club will be in a better state when he left than it was whem he entered it”, surely supporters remember these statements!!!.
So surely no one is suggesting that it is another of Swanns lies????????
