We survived with just days to spare from disappearing and being no more. We now have our ground and our club with the opportunity to advance onward and upward even though it may be in small steps. Sadly for me and others, age will limit our chances of seeing the final destination to continued success.

Many of us on here are rowing in the same boat.

Top marks to Michelle/Board for grasping them where it hurts and pulling the club back on an even keel.

Team was at times as about much use as a canoe with a handbrake as we are on a slight nautical theme.

We stopped sinking the holes are plugged and we are slowly bailing out the water.

But will we ever have a better chance to ascend that first step? Not any time soon IMO.

Why not? We’ll still be the biggest club in this division most seasons and so we’ll always be competitive. Aligning the stars of a good manager who gets the most out of talented players should not be an impossibility.
