PPG decide final standings with promotion and relegation still undecided due to league one not agreeing way forward.

It never really mattered to us except that our season finished on the worst possible game/result in the club’s history.

Difficult to see fans in stadiums until new year – and then with no second wave. How many clubs will be left unless the TV money is increased or redistributed.

We’ve had worse results than getting beaten 2-0 off Grimsby. Like 4-1 in 1971! Or 7-1 in 1966!

Does this mean we have been put out of our misery and we aren’t getting relegated, can’t see League 2 being National League standard next season, but we will still struggle.

It seems pointless letting the teams vote per league? Obviously they’ll vote for promotion and no relegation so how does that work? League 2 says 4 promoted and league one says no relegation?

Will be interesting next season – nobody spending any money – will boil down to spotting free agents and building a squad. As long as we have a forward thinking attacking manager and a chairman/board that doesn’t interfere we should be fine…….

but it’s not just the Football League, a bloke who lives near me is on the staff of Worcester City (remember them) and I asked him yesterday if he was missing the football, he said not really but would if they were playing but he couldn’t go, but if no spectators are allowed he hasn’t a clue what the future holds for non league teams because they don’t get hand outs like league teams and it is going to take a long time to sort itself out.

I think it’s subject to Football League or FA approval to confirm, isn’t it?

As always in English football, it’s just everyone voting for their own vested interests, no one looking at the good of the game.

1stly it isnt unanimous, secondly how can they stop playing without settling what happens regards promotion and relegation, other divisions and leagues have an interest in that?

    WTF are weighted points?

Yeah that’s what I mean. It’s pointless letting them vote since everyone is just out for themselves.

The FA need to make a decision, however unpopular it might be, and say “This is whats happening, we know it’s not fair for everyone but it’s the best we can do given the circumstances. You’re just going to have to deal with it.”

Not saying it’s easy and I’ve no idea what the best option is but surely it’s the job of the FA to do just that?

In times of crisis you need good firm leadership to take a grip of the situation and show the rest of us how it’s done. I get the impression the FA are rather like our current government.

In my opinion the ONLY option that is fair for all is that the season is null & void for all and whenever football is safe to start again we start with the league standings from the start of the 2019/20 season, I’m happy to be corrected but as far as I know nobody had been officially promoted or relegated when lockdown started so we should just start over again?

if this virus had been last March I don’t think we would have been relegated on 1 point a game.

Yes. Maybe. Perhaps. Probably. Not yet. But soon. Probably.

    Hope that’s clear!

That’s far too clear and specific for a government minister.
