Well so endeth another terrible showing by the Scunny team, against another team that had no wins in their last seven matches, if they had taken a few more of their many chances, could have been five like last week, yes Scunny had two one on one chances that they just hit the keeper with, but offered nothing else all game. I cannot understand why 2,000 still keep turning up to watch such rubbish, in fact this squad would not even starve off relegation in the National League.

My rating marks for the team is:-

Watson—4—looked edgy all game after his first goal howler.
ROWE—5—did not play well, but all others were terrible.
TAFT—45—his playing time has ended, call it a day man.
DELANEY—4—very poor passer of the ball, and a few cock ups.
LEWIS—6—very good first half and earned his keep.
FEENEY—4—sorry but not seen him ever play a good game.
CRIBB–6—another good lad who is getting better each game.
HACKNEY—7—my MOM today, worked hard and some good runs first half.
SINCLARE—6—a few good runs, but his end product was lacking and came to nothing.
NUTTALL—4—missing for most of the game, he is not good enough.
BURRNS—4—also a 4 rating, but it must be difficult with no service.

REF—5—seen a lot better, a lower league ref for sure.

HILL—5—has no answer with this squad, time will tell, but I assume that fans expected more.

CHAIRMAN—2—this guy has seen off many loyal Scunny fans, many of whome will be lost forever, they are not going to pay money to suffer watching this shite.

I feel sorry for watching iFollower instead of painting my fence, it would have been more enjoyable, in fact what a bloody day I have had, after sitting in a two mile double lane of the traffic on the A15, after some stupid prick decided to resurface the road on the Humber Bridge on a Saturday and Sunday daytime.

When I went to school girls weren’t allowed to play football and so I have to admit that I am more of an armchair critic than most of you. Whereas I have never played football I have played many other team sports and I just can’t understand why we don’t seem to have a game plan. No one appears to know what their role in the team is or what is expected of them
As professional players surely they should be able to trap the ball, pass the ball and control the ball.
I was pleased to get Keith Hill onboard but I am still waiting for the new manager bounce – his record is awful and I don’t agree with the sentiment that the embargo has tied his hands. He has brought his own players in and got rid of others – i don’t think he has improved us at all.
There have been teams in football who don’t have great players but they have a plan of action and all do their own job – why do ours not know what to do?
With other results over the last few weeks going our way we could have given ourselves a fighting chance but we look dejected and down and out – it could have been so different.

If Taft on a bad day can get a score of 45 I eagerly await to see what he can do in non-league. :)

Are you trying to say our players play like girls Jackie? Or are you a girl?.

    Even Delaney was poor today.
Does Taft bring out the worst in his fellow CBs?

Yet again – the defence was unable to cope without Grant in front of them.
Feeney is an old warhorse – but is not a CM. How often has he played CM?

It’s some achievement to be comfortably the worst player in a performance like that but Taft managed it.

Great post Jackie. I agree today we looked like one of Cox’s teams once they scored. No plan and no idea. Starting to have concerns about Hill.

Finally BS next home matchday if you are painting your fence can I come and watch if I give you a tenner?

The pre match warm up got me or lack of it, no intensity or doing sprints or anything just small huddles of our players stood round chatting to each other while in the other half,Harrogate going through some proper drills

We could have been 2 up before they scored with their first effort on target, but God knows what Rory was doing, then apart from one easy save for their keeper we offered nothing, so after a bright start this was probably our worst performance at home, to me we need a complete clear out, some poor performances today, only players to put real effort in today was Hackney and Sinclair.
We are certainly missing Millen, Thompson and O’Malley, Keith won’t give Bunn a runout and would sooner play kids, Perry and Hallam have been frozen out and overall I can’t see us get another point this season.

    Good post Jackie, thanks.

Mick, we’ll not get to 30 points and not a win in us, don’t you think we may scrape a draw or two? Well, fingers crossed.

I’ve got to say for me, season’s over. I’m not gonna trek from Cottingham to see this shite any more, sorry diehards. I’ve had enough.

Need new investment, need new owner, SWANN OUT!

3 things you can bet your bottom dollar on

Scunny loose … thats the norm now
Wont score (should of been at least 1 up before they scored)
Hackney gets booked (all be it he was our best player yesterday (not a difficult task to achieve)

As previously mentioned with other results going our way over the last week or two it could have been a very different table if we could have mustered a win or two built some confidence and shown some fight n desire to stay up …alas none of these were remotely offered and going down looking un interested , dejected and more sadly with a whimper.

My worry now is the club will go out of business totally and with recent board room goings on its becoming a real possibility.

oh we are singing PLEASE GET SWAN OUT.

Yes by all means MK, in fact I have some spare brushes pal and you could help me out, as long as you do not try and get me to watch iFollower, we could both paint a bit of fencing, then sit with a few beers and watch it dry ha ha! That again today was really pathetic, in fact I enjoyed sitting for 90 mins in that bloody traffic jam on the A15 more than watching that 90 mins, the Cluggy looked almost empty did you notice !

I wonder if it was some spirit giving me a signal yesterday when I could not get through to pay my £10?, I bollocked my son for getting it on for me ha ha!

We have some pretty decent youngsters whom we’ll surely keep for next season alongside some more experienced players who are contracted.
The problem here is that anything up to half the new August squad will have either forgotten how to win – or have never learned in the first place!
This is extremely serious even in a squad which may (or may not) bring in some half decent players.
This can surely act as a mega drag-down factor.

Wrexhan 2 nil up n cruising then it goes tits up and 5 -2 down after 63 mins to bottom and already relegated Dover … they think its all over ..but it isnt with goals in 91 n 98 the minutes Wrexham snatch an unbelievable win…

One for the grand kids … as is the sad plight of SUFC
