Maw has admitted to people at GP that it was himself that was responsible for the requests of nude pictures of young girls, that is why he disappeared and closed down his social media.
I have spoken to people at GP that he owned up to!
Why is he now claiming he was hacked, perhaps it’s taken him a few weeks to think of it.January 20, 2025 at 10:10 pm #297581The aliens made him do it.
January 20, 2025 at 10:56 pm #297582‘Join the Iron Trust for £10 and get a membership card, exclusive unity pin badge, regular newsletter and a vote on any policy decision.
You also have transparent audited accounts and membership of a national body plus a lottery licence with North Lincolnshire Council.
Join the fastest growing and most established Scunthorpe United supporters society today. All money from membership sign-ups goes directly to the club.’
I see the Trust has posted the above on the Facebook group this evening. And why not? I don’t think it’s childish as one supporter has claimed on there. If 100 people join the Unity Group, that’s £1k that would be better off with the Trust IMO. Promoting Trust membership on there is no different from Earl promoting the Unity Group on Bru. Fairs fair.
January 20, 2025 at 11:00 pm #297583I guess they find the timing to be deliberate and some comments could be taken as barbs at the Unity group.
January 20, 2025 at 11:11 pm #297585It’s clearly deliberate, but IMO they’re merely setting their stall out in an arena for potential new funds and memberships. I completely understand the Trust’s rationale for promoting their own interests at this juncture.
January 20, 2025 at 11:13 pm #297586It seems a shrewd move really, the Trust rarely seem to post on the cult Facebook page. It may well be the case that there are a fair few people on the cult page who haven’t been aware of their work previously, and would like to join.

January 20, 2025 at 11:16 pm #297588Indeed. ‘Well for £10 you could join the Unity Group, but here’s an alternative’
January 21, 2025 at 4:48 am #297591Joined the Iron Trust but for numerous reasons i most certainly wouldnt touch this new Unity group with a Cod heads barge pole as im not sure i like or agree with its creators and just how transparent it will be regarding where funds will be used.
IMO its easy .. the new group isnt really needed and appears to be some wannabe individuals route to egomania.
Hacked … yeah right took a while to discover that gem.
January 21, 2025 at 7:38 am #297596If the club are letting them use the club premises them they are pretty much backing the unity group.
And once properly formed will be an official SUFC organization why wouldn’t they there’s money involved.
The club need someone overseeing the meeting and group to make sure all the i’s and T’s are crossed by the group for the sake of the club.Absolutely made up . Using a room at GP does not make you a club organisation. The club my recognise them like they do Irish iron etc .
January 21, 2025 at 7:45 am #297597I think the statement from the trust is pretty crass in the current atmosphere, They didn’t have to mention certain aspects which would clearly trigger.

There was clearly a sense of humour involved in posting at this moment, but yes.
January 21, 2025 at 8:32 am #297602Apparently,Iron Trust membership is unsurprisingly growing due to the negative media attention by the likes of Stuart, Jerry and Earl.
It’s Iron…y really the very people who abuse the Trust are helping swell it’s membership.
January 21, 2025 at 9:03 am #297618If Trust membership is on the rise of a result of it’s leadership turning the situation in to a marketing opportunity, then fair play to them, whether some think their latest post on the Facebook group to be crass or not. As a Trust member, I have no issues with their approach.

January 21, 2025 at 9:08 am #297619we can argue all we like but Trust communication in my opinion are not to be used to exacerbate a situation with pithy jibes
January 21, 2025 at 9:13 am #297620Not arguing as such, just offering my opinion. Genuinely don’t see any pithy jibe in that Trust publicity post.

January 21, 2025 at 9:18 am #297621There are clear references to stuff the Unity group are accused and it’s not necessary ,
By we can argue I meant as fans we can on facebook etc about any subject but the trust is and should be professional and above reproach in all it’s communications.January 21, 2025 at 9:20 am #297622We’ll beg to differ on this one I think. I appreciate your points but don’t necessarily agree the Trust are acting that way.
January 21, 2025 at 9:38 am #297624Maybe but the inference is there and it’s clear to see. It’s at best badly worded and I find it hard to believe they didn’t see it
January 21, 2025 at 10:03 am #297625If it takes the trust to point out that you need transparent account’s and said license in their post then good on em, Tis only what everyone here has been advocating.
Now the big question is will they take notice or just plod along doing whatever they want legal or not.
Legally you must mke it clear where the funding is going to if you say your giving it to the club it must go to the club, if you want it to go to Xmas parties or away travel you must tell punters from the off.
Does make me see the trust in a better like.January 21, 2025 at 10:45 am #297627I really can’t see why Bruers and the Trust are getting involved in this. Can’t we just file the Unity Group under “Well Intentioned” and let them get on with it?

January 21, 2025 at 10:55 am #297632Tbf, much of it involves legitimate questions being asked over this Unity group. Questions that shouldn’t cause anger and would benefit anyone who wants to know more, including those interested in joining. Yet this group have lost their rag over that.

January 21, 2025 at 11:00 am #297634In an ideal world Cass, yes. But there’s more to it than that and after all, we are entitled to ask questions and offer opinions regardless of existing affiliations. I genuinely hope they raise funds for the club, with clear aims and objectives, and transparency. Not going to say much more about it from hereonin tbh.
January 21, 2025 at 11:11 am #297636First they came for the Telegraph
And I did not speak out
Because I did not read the Telegraph
Then they came for Radio Humberside
And I did not speak out
Because I didn’t like Radio Humberside
Then they came for the Facebook comments
And I did not speak out
Because I didn’t use Facebook
Then they came for the Bru Posters
And I did not speak out
Because I don’t like some people on Bru
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for meJanuary 21, 2025 at 11:39 am #297640Agree Deerey unless something big is said that’ll do me for now, down to them now to get everything in order for the meeting on the 7th they’ve certainly had enough prompts from everyone.
I’ll wish them all the best.
January 21, 2025 at 11:42 am #297641Now the big question is will they take notice or just plod along doing whatever they want legal or not.
More fool them if they do. But, yes, as I said yesterday, talk of this should now be fizzled out.
January 21, 2025 at 1:06 pm #297645…. “the sole aim of the group is to raise funds for the football club by open and transparent ways”..
I’m at a loss as to why anyone would pay £10 to be a member of a fund raising group

January 21, 2025 at 1:16 pm #297646He was hacked you say.
Luckily for SM part of my day job has me working with the cyber security team for a multinational organisation. I am happy to run some forensic tools on his devices at no cost. I have software that can examine artifacts on computers to aid with the identification of the origin of the attack, discover what ‘data’ the threat actor accessed, remove any backdoors, and secure the device for the future.
As he’s a Scunthorpe United supporter I will do it free of charge.

Which will you drain first his bank account or his fund raising account or are they the same? lol.

January 21, 2025 at 1:24 pm #297649Surely SM doesn’t mean what I think it does here?
