I see we have been selling higher than expected season tickets and one or two soundbites from Turnbull seem to suggest we maybe are after players that will raise eyebrows etc so there seems a bit more positivity recently than there has been for a while. However….. what would the general feeling be if Swann didn’t sell and he was still at the club next season?

IF we won our first 10 games next season I wouldn’t give a damn who the owner was. Results are ALL that matter.

Bullshit! Try and tell that to Bury fans who romped to promotion from League 2 then poof…goodbye football club!

The first ten games last season yielded 7 points.

Higher or lower by game 10 next season?

Unlike Bruce’s ‘Play Your Cards Right’ – you can’t freeze!

Less than 7 points from the first ten games and I guess it’s going to be a long, long season again.

7 to 10 points and it’s probably going to be another relegation season.

10 to 15 points and we will stay up.

15 to 20 points high mid table

20 to 25 points play offs

    25 to 30 points champions

Swannys not going to sell, what makes you think he is? Hill said he and Swanny had a plan, that plan though not from the horse’s mouth was relying on youth, and all I’ve seen is that plan is coming into fruition. Can anyone see anything different?

Why would he sell?, he’s said the club has to fund itself through ticket sales and the relevant football authority hand outs all clubs get each year. If we succeed he will take money out the club ( I know he says he never does but who buys that FFS ). If we fail he liquidates the club, sells the land off for redevelopment and cashes in. I don’t believe he’s selling anytime soon unless it’s on his terms for a figure that would be higher then what the club’s worth, after all be has a debt of at least £12 million to pay off, you don’t write off debt you have to pay it off eventually. Just an opinion of course.

I am sure he can’t pocket any money paid by fans and EFL for next season, that isn’t debts and can’t land extra expenses to new owners.

What a terrible post. Not a single fact in the whole piece.

If Swann wanted to make money he wouod never have bought a football club.

He is a dreadful Chairman, and he has made a complete mess of our Club. I really hope it is not to late to keep us in business.

However, making things up is not the way to progress. Let’s just hope that there is a buyer in the pipeline.

As I see it some idiot paid £11 million for something that was supposedly worth £5 million, if liquidated now we don’t have a big debt in the scale of things, and would imagine the interested parties who have walked away would be interested again once Swann is out of the equation,( if there were interested parties). Now cool silk have a massive debt and piece of land with a football ground on it, and don’t even know whether that land can be sold for other uses besides football. It could be the separation that might save us because if we had that £11 million plus debt I don’t think we have an hope in hell of someone buying us.

Don’t believe a word he says. He said he would build a new ground, he didn’t, fact.
He said he would redevelop the old ground, he didn’t, fact.
He said he would build new flats and help the club to self finance, he didn’t, fact.
He says he is selling up, well on his previous track record of doing what he says, well you can see where my scepticism comes from.
You believe what you want III and I will believe what I want, an opinion of course.

i think in all honesty to manage lower to mid table and avoid relegation again its as good as its gonna get.. the only thing that will change that prediction is new enthused owners and decent signings , alas cant see either happening any time soon.

AMAZED GOBSMACKED at the season ticket sales numbers especially with the club in its current state, well done to all those who have chucked their hat in the ring.

Has there been any more information about the loan/mortgage which is apparently secured against the stadium? I remember seeing the announcement on Companies House but has the club or owner made any comment about it?
